Oil Pressure Sender Mod ?

just wondering if anyone has tried to drill a bigger hole in the stock oil sender ?? in comparison with anything else it has a very small hole and could be why the gauge is slow. i tried the mod on my old sender but i accidently went through the wall into the electrics and not sure if i should experiment with the new one. the oil pressure rose very quickly tho b4 i noticed the leak, so im thinkin it could work. any thoughts.

Just get a aftermarket gauge and sender

Yeah my electric autometer oil pressure gauge reacts pretty quickly.

wish there was a way to rejig the factory guage to use an external aftermarket sensor or use a replacement quick as all hell sensor

i know adam was looking at this but had no luck

yeah i have a autometer electronic oil pressure guage also give it 2 seconds after vehicle is started and its away. all i had to do was get a oil filter sandwich plate and wire it in easy moving on a stale peice of cake to a fat kid

I used a Tee to plumb in where the stock sender is.

im gonna do the mod to the new sender i have.

I would even put more faith in a cheap Autogage electric unit.

I'm pretty sure the slowness of the stock gauge is actually intentional by Nissan so that sudden oil pressure changes wouldn't alarm the driver.

which is why the sender has a tiny pin hole - i think. but fair enough ill get another gauge and sender aswell. jus didnt want the line lookin like an aeroplane.
