R35 Mod Roll Call....

let's start a thread where everyone lists what they've done to their R35 and get some convo going back n forth with feedback on various mods - it's been awefuly quiet here

it's seems as if there's only a handful of members who have thrown caution to the warranty gods and converted their GTR from a restricted by design whirlpool washing machine sounding auto mag test car to an all out ball tearer worthy of mizuno-sans' head shaking criticism

so who wants to go first?

I'll start.

2008 JDM sent to Willall. Willall up graded turbos, COBB, HKS no resonated mid pipe, 950cc injectors and fuel pumps. 390awks on 98 and 410awks on E85.

More lag than standard but weapon on boost. Have Alfa firmware with LC4 which will be testing at Calder park on sat to see 1/4 mile times.

2010 build ADM

- Top Secret Intake

- Top Secret Turbo Inlet Pipes (to be installed by Willall end of month) - they defeated me as a diy

- 3" catless downpipes ceramic coated by HPC

- Cobb catted 90mm midpipe

- 90mm titanium exhaust

- HKS Fuel pumps + DW 950cc injectors (to be installed by Willall end of month)

- Cobb etune by Willall

I recently swapped out my stock downpipes and Miltek straight midpipe for catless downpipes and catted midpipe. The extra sound is awesome, the car now has a rasp at high revs and volume similar to a euro exotic which is what i wanted. I'm confident on Willall's dyno ill be able to tune for more power with this setup. However, there are some compromises. The high flow cats take a few minutes after each cold start to warm up - and this means they make some weird resonating sounds that come into the cabin when on a trailing throttle. There is a bit more drone also at around the 2-3rpm range which buzzs around the interior, so i will be chasing this with some more dynamat laid down in the boot and rear bulkhead this weekend. Atm i have dynamated under the rear seats and this, together with normal 21" road tyres, helped alot

Once i get Willall to add my injectors and pumps and give me an e85 map, i think ill stop with the perfomance mods as i dont want this car to be in any way compromised in terms of daily driveability - afterall a daily driver is exactly why i bought it and i dont want to add any extra lag with bigger turbos

2010 ADM

Willal y-pipe and cat back

Willal tune (350kw atws)

AP J-Hook rotors with Endless Pads

Goodridge braided brake lines

For the track I have some 18 x 10 Enkie GTC-01 and Yokohama 295/30 A050s

Also changed to Castrol SRF synthetic brake fluid and Willal Victory spec trans fluid.

Future (soon)

E85 tune with pumps and injectors to suit

you need the Cobb with the traction control option

I don't believe it's been officially released yet though , the lc4 that is

it'll only work on a well prep'd track with the right tyre setup, otherwise a 4k launch is too many revs for anything more than oem power levels
