Wiring In Tacho

i dont know if im in right section so if need be please move mods. however i have a autogauge shift light and digital tacho in one due to the stock vl tach not working with the microtech. now i dont want any of the microtech down talk i just want help. btw its a rb25det in the vl. when i went to wire the tach to the tach output there was already a blue wire in this spot it seems to go towards the engine bay. i dont want to splice it or anything as i dont know what it is. could have it been changed into a aux output? or is this another way i can wire this in?

If its the blue wire according to microtech diagram that will be it. Tap into it and see

ok yeah its a blue wire with white stripe i was just worried about atpping into it thats all
