Sorry Mark, I wasn't shooting the video. Was reall good of Joel to take my camera and get so many runs on video. Now that my time and duties are so full on, not sure how much video work I'm going to be able to continue to do.

Shame we didn't get more of the Starion. I remember loving those things in America when I was younger. They represented the "New Breed" of turbo car believe it or not - hehe!

Some times I miss my Mitsubishi Eclipse (was a fun little car for a stocker). The eclipse replaced the Starion in the 90's as their flagship hot little turbo car. Was probably the fastest car I owned before the GTR.

y music? i wanna hear the CARS, thats more than enough music for my ears! lol

I agree. I am sorry but the music is so bad i couldnt even get past the 2 minute mark lol

Sorry to the guy who did the vid. The editing is awesome and the you certainly got in amongst it all and got good footage but music in vids like that just isnt my thing. The cars make much better music in my eyes :D

i agree with less music and engine singing, could have let some clips go .5 second longer and showed the times

Ok Boys -n- Girls, here you go. Pure sound on this one, music has been removed. I lengthened the clips where I could but some didn't go all the way to a time at the end.

Hope you enjoy.

Good News Everyone!

I've finished off the Drag Day Photos. Everyone who drove on the day will get a disc with over 400 shots. All shots are in both High Res for printing/slideshows at home and Web size for sharing with friends/online buddies.

I cranked up some music (NERO) and let them play through as a slideshow. I hope you all enjoy them :)

Feel free to head down to Dick Smith/Harvey Norman to print out your favorites! If any of you want some Premium Prints (Excellent paper/Excellent photo lab) shoot me a PM. I'm happy to help organise them.

There's a butt load of discs to be burnt, I'm aiming to have them all done and ready for post at the end of the week.

Thanks to everyone involved for letting me cover the day, and thanks to everyone who turned up and fried some tyres! :)

Postman drove past my house again today, but he didn't leave anything. :(

Any of These posted yet?

Outsiders point of view, but why wouldn't you organise a day with double the amount of cars, half the price, and maybe 50 runs instead of 100??

Nobody realistically wants to run a million times, or pay excessively for a drag day. Bigger numbers would be a better day socially too.

    • Price seems pretty good to me. Also seems a hell of a lot cheaper then buying another vehicle that only ever gets used for towing.  I'm a long way from you mate, I'm a couple of hours out of Brizzy.
    • New [400]Z, they're available in manual and you don't have to worry about parts scarcity.
    • Just planning to have the wiring neat and hide as much as possible.
    • The sodium acetate, mixed with citric acid, doesn't actually buffer each other. Interestingly though, if you used Sodium Acetate, and acetic acid, THAT becomes a buffer solution. Additionally, a weak acid that can attack a metal, is still a weak acid that can attack a metal. If you don't neutralise it, and wash it off, it's going to be able to keep attacking. It works the same way when battery acid dries, get that stuff somewhere, and then it gets wet, and off it goes again breaking things down. There's a reason why people prefer a weak acid, and it's because they want TIME to be able to be on their side. IE, DIY guys are happy to leave some mild steel in vinegar for 24 hours to get mill scale off. However, if you want to do it chemically in industry, you grab the muriatic acid. If you want to do it quicker at home, go for the acetic acid if you don't want muriatic around. At the end of the day, look at the above thumbnail, as it proves what I said in the earlier post, you can clean that fuel tank up all you want with the solution, but the rust that has now been removed was once the metal of the fuel tank. So how thin in spots is your fuel tank getting? If the magazine on the left, is the actual same magazine as on the right, you'll notice it even introduces more holes... Well, rust removal in general actually does that. The fuel tank isn't very thick. So, I'll state again, look to replace the tank, replace the fuel hanger, and pump, work out how the rust and shit is making it past the fuel filter, and getting into the injectors. That is the real problem. If the fuel filter were doing its job, the injectors wouldn't be blocked.
    • Despite having minimal clothing because of the hot weather right now, I did have rubber gloves and safety glasses on just in-case for most of the time. Yes, I was scrubbing with my gloves on before, but brushing with a brush removes the remaining rust. To neutralize, I was thinking distilled water and baking soda, or do you think that would be overkill?
