I have a Precision 6262 on my R32 GTR now. Making 355kw - 475hp at all four wheels on 20psi running BP Ultimate.

Comes on hard from 3500rpm so no less lag then the twin HKS GT-SS I previously had. I went for the 6262 over the 6265 as i was worried about the lag for street use.

gtr32g do you have dyno sheet showing reference to boost power and rpm? I was seriously concidering a 6765 for more power over my 35r but after reading that link I might steer clear :(

Next time im at my tuner will get a copy printed off and send you a pm.

Out of interest sake, Precision are now releasing versions previously with the "65" hotside with a "66" billet "CEA" turbine, which they claim more hp with similar or better response. This means the PT6265 and PT6765 could be superceeded with the PT6266 and PT6766...

Enough said...

6262 6265 difference is minimal in response anyway.

a few of us are using the precision turbos and couldent be happier with the way they perform, my rb26 with a 6765 T3 .82 made a lazy 600rwhp on 26psi, another mates 26/30 with the same turbo makes 600rwhp on 26psi, we also put a 6262 T4 .84 on my old man's 32GTR and with a peice of shit hks log manifold made an easy 500hp @ the wheels on only 19psi on straight 98 pump fuel with stock bottem end, good proof for the people whinging about having to run 35psi and e85 to get good power results.. its a load of bullshit, my mate with the 26/30 gained 40hp @ the wheels with a 2psi boost increase, and during tuning his car was making 430rwhp on something like 14psi. these turbos dont stop making power, you can just keep going and going and the car will just keep making power.

Just saw your graph in the RB26 upgrade thread... What diff ratio do you have?

these results impress me alot, and as u said aload of crap but running big boost to see power..

i think it just comes down to some peoples tune or set up being wrong for those who arnt making the power...

these results also back up all the power figues the guys make in there supras on supraforums.com, if u get a chance and sign up on that site and go to the dyno tuning section

theres so much interesting reading on pt 6265-6266, 6567 and 6566 and 7175 on both pump and e85, most of there supras are making 700-900 rwhp with 67mm turbos- INCREDIBLE

get on board :)

I'd like to see a dyno sheet.... 6262 is not GT-SS response... I've driven 2 GTR's with 6262 PT turbos is two difernet trims.. they were laggier. They're not a bad turbo as compared to some of the PT range.

700USAHP = 500 AUS HP

Yeah... if your lucky. seen a couple of '1000hp' honda's with stock gearboxes.. ha ha ha ha

700USAHP = 500 AUS HP

i think thats a lil exadurated... if this was true they wouldnt b running 140-150 mph, yes they r manual but they r also weighty...

we could argue bout this for days, but there strip times back up the dyno figures...

so many haters of the pt range out there :(

its all good though, the haters can hate. more performance gains for you and me my friend ...

PJ, can u shed anymore light on the "6766" im so keen to get a 6765 on my 2.8 but if this is close to coming out and out performs ill lean towards the newer

Hi Jake, I haven't been involved with Precision as I was earlier this year, but it doesn't change my opinion on them one bit which was based on real experiences with the cars I had driven and the two Precision's I've had on my own car.

Sure US figures spell out some pretty serious GST to us, but that's with all readings on particular dyno's.

That's why we bit the bullet and tried everything for ourselves on local soil.

It's hard to understand the BS that people have written about them, but I figure people can think what they like, we're the ones laughing in the end :action-smiley-069:

Edited by PJ.

I don't doubt some of them are making the numbers...just a lot of BS comes from the land of yank

eg, I saw 1 "result" of a Gt2871 on a SR20 making 500rwhp...now we all know that isn't going to happen. SO anything out of the US is disregard until there are a number of results here locally of similar nature.

P.J not taking anything away from you, but we never got to see the S14 run, all we got was a few dyno sheets, which I'm sure you know are easy to fudge (my 33 "made" 400rwkws with a stock turbo)

Which is why, we are "haters"

Its just a natural reaction for everyone who has grown up in the era of infomertials to not want this "super mega awesome best ever product" just because a couple of workshops say they are the best thing ever

If we could see some normal results, at low boost levels, I can only speak for myself here, I would start to take a more objective view

    • Unfortunately haven’t taken pics yet after it was finished. All the edges are hemmed nicely, just had to cut holes for the gear shifter and seat bolts and seat belt bolts in the rear. The molds seem like they’re done with steam and a layer of glue on the underside to hold a bit of shape but still soft enough that it’s a good fit when it’s all pressed down.
    • When's the rear mounted turbo kit coming? Needs dose and V8 chop idle lol.
    • I was very unimpressed with how the car came up from the A pillar forward, before I hit things (twice). It all has to go. It had to go, but now it has to go... more. So we finally found the very first Shennanigans with the entirely perfectly setup engine that had no problems being pulled apart to improve on 'was perfectly fine'. Cam bearings looked a bit... stock. Which isn't entirely bad given they were stock and this is a ~20 year old engine. So new cam bearings are on the way because it's somewhat difficult to get to this stage to do it later, and it will trash the block. It was quite unusual that it wasn't done when the perfectly new-looking VCM cam was originally installed by [unknown] What IS unusual is the cam that was installed there was advanced SIX degrees. As to why there is no way to know.. however it could have been @Dose Pipe Sutututu's mate who wanted a larger cam sound but also wanted it to come on earlier to be more usable. This is my dyno sheet with the previous setup - This cam is not supposed to peak until 7000+ RPM, according to VCM. This is what lead me down the whole 'my heads/intake setup is running out of puff and can't support the cam' line of thinking to begin with. Anyway too late now - New cam is in! It could be rather funny if this smaller cam acts like a larger cam because it isn't advanced six degrees. In the spirit of everything is working amazingly - the COMP cam required no dialling in whatsoever. It was about 0.5 degrees advanced, which seems pretty bang on. Any adjustment either way would be further out. I'm told as a chain breaks in it ends up regarding back about 0.5 a degree as the chain breaks in, making it bang on. In the spirit of everything was previously working amazingly - The timing gear that was taken out turned out to be was an N-Motion double timing chain kit, with adjustable cam gear (which is how it was 6 degrees advanced) and all looks entirely perfectly new. It also had a Torrington bearing, which was one of the reasons I ended up getting the Cloyes kit which they used in the C5R 24 hour racecar - Because I couldn't confirm what was in the engine when talking to Tony Mamo. I did believe however it was a Double chain kit of some kind... but found no supporting documentation or evidence for it.
    • I recently did this to my R33 with the full set from Car Mats Direct, they can't do the vinyl anymore that's advertised on the website due to a supplier issue so I ended up with the Black Loop Pile which looks great. I went all out with rubber sound deadening sheets from Repco and also added the sound deadening foam layer option with the carpet. Makes a world of difference and got rid of all the weird smells in the 29 year old interior. It was a bit of work but I'd 100% recommend it, Car Mats Direct had awesome customer service and quick postage. Replaced my seats with some sporty ones from Autotechnia while I was at it, feels like a new car.
