Skyline R33 Stock Airbox?

hello there i was just wondering are the series one r33 gtst airboxes different to the series 2? i just purchased one from ebay to roadworthy my skyline an the factor intercooler pipes are in the way

only reason i could think of them being different is if it was from a non turbo. other than that, as long as you don'g have a front mount intercooler it shouldn't be an issue (which stops the snorkel fitting)

^^^ it doesn't stop it at all?? It's completely dependent on what brand of front mount you have.

yeah should've been a bit more specific. if it's a return flow then it is fine.

I didn't mean return flow at all, I have a BLITZ cooler on mine and it doesn't interfere with anything, I've even put on an NA airbox (unfortunately I didn't get one when I bought the car) to pass an EPA and he didn't have a problem with it.

from what i'm aware the blitz intercoolers are return flow intercoolers, unless you have a blitz core with another brands piping.

You might be entirely right I haven't really looked into my cooler model and all that. Still shouldnt effect whether or not you have aftermarket pipes or not though because any intercooler that isn't return flow shouldn't have any pipes that interfere in front of the turbo, unless the kit comes with a compressor housing pipe that doesn't make use of the factory hole. I would think he has an NA box though as when I went for my EPA the NA Air Box fouled on the second factory hole (closer to passenger side guard).

my genuine hybrid cooler didn't foul with the airbox, but the pipe from the cooler to the plenum that ran along the top of the radiator stopped the airbox snorkel from fitting back on, and it wasn't just a minor clearance issue.
