Hi all,

if this isn't exactly relevant please feel free to lock thread but I believe that I've purchased some (possibly) stolen plates. A few months ago I was the winning bidder on eBay for a set of plates "KILR33", the auctioner gave the impression that they would be completley transferable. However after the auction when I attempted to ask for details so the transfer could be completed I was merely told that they 'were no longer in contact with the person whose plates they were (as they were selling on 'behalf' of someone) and couldn't see them being able to get this information anytime in the forseeable future (alarm bells began to ring).

I know it was a while ago, but if anyone does have any information about this feel free to contact me.

easy call vicroads and ask if they are stolen!

you will need the original owner to sign papers to transfer.

alternatively agree to meet him at vic roads to complete the transfer and payment on paperwork completed.

Yeah was thinking that calling Vicroads was probably the best thing to do, feel a tad foolish for not having done it already actually!
