The current Mustangs are hella popular in the US/North America. ABsolutely everywhere. More power than SS, and pushing some of the HSV's. I would assume lighter as well. Seem to be a pretty wide range as well. Looked like diff spec V8's, Convertibles, etc. I would have thought the current Mustang would do quite well here??

i think it looks phat, especially the side exhaust. would those pass the dB test??

Pity the 2005 Mustang runs a LIVE AXLE and 300hp (223kW, can't match the VYII SS's 245kW)!!!!

But you've gotta love the historical significance of the paint job, GO PARNELLI JONES!!!

the mustang has a live axle because apparently owners demand it(for what stupid reason i dont know) otherwise ford would have put a IRS on it..

(as read in current EVO magazine)

What a crock. Not saying you didn't read that mate; or that it was printed there. I'm saying :overthetopexamplealert:

HSV annonced today that they will dropping the power output of their entire range to 150kw only. HSV says this is because owners demand it. "They just don't want that much power," said HSV boss Bob Syauncle. "We are considering putting in a live front axle in the next models too. Not only will it be cheaper for us but customers demand it."

I suppose there's just as much stupidity in Australia, or any other country for that matter, as there is in the US but it must be that due to the size of their economy and media we just get it shoved down our throats all the time and it seems like the place is full of idiots.

yeah i think it is stupid too abo :D when i read it i couldnt believe it... what do they need a live axle for? less traction? harsher ride? off roading!?? lol.

anyway they must be stuck in the past of something.
