Hey Guys,

Got problem with high boost issue lately. Somedays everything is perfect, other days (like tonight) its constantly running high boost and slowling the car down.

When driving along, its hitting 13-14psi and car feels like its going slower. Take the gas off abit, Boost at 7-8psi and car goes faster!

- also just noticed when sitting in Neutral and give it a decent Rev, its BOOSTING to 8psi! :s

Too me this doesnt sound correct?

R33 S2 Manual

Stock engine with Aftermarket Intercooler / exhaust.

Split fire coils

Any ideas?

Split vacuum line to the wastegate actuator? or jammed wastegate flap

Ive check all Vacuum lines & done full smoke leak test.

last few weeks, ive notived the wastegate arm that attaches to the wastegate (outside of turbo) rattles a little (right where the clip holds on)

maybe there is an issue going on there? but the arm moves back and forth well :S

8psi in neutral?

How is this being measured exactly? Aftermarket boost gauge?

Either way, running 9-10psi is the limit for most stock ECUs. Anymore they go banana's. There are plenty of threads about it.

Aftermarket boost gauge, ill take the video camera with me, so when it does it again ill film it.

I still think that its a split vacuum line thats opening up under boost

Zebra - Ill get all new hoses this week & clamps & replace all Vac lines. ;)

"especially at night when there is a denser/cooler charge of air, which hits higher load points in the rich and retarded area= go slower"

the problem i have more random... doesnt appear to be dense/temp related.

Ill get some footage of it going well, and when it stuffs up again ill do some footage to compare.

When the problem occurs. The Rev Range takes ages to climb, and feels like someone has plugged up the Exhaust & feels very restricted,
