Soooooo, filled up today. With normal driving (I mean squirt here, squirt there) on E85 I have reached a pretty low 14.6l/100. My lowest was all freeway on 11l/100.

And I thought I'd crack it the SLR today, then the sun decided to run away. Oh well. Still quite purple without direct sunlight.

Collonite will have to wait. Melbourne weather is shit today so I just read your whole build thread instead. I like the way you've gone about everything. Kept it simple and effective. None of this ott bullshit. You've gone as far as the cars purpose requires. Well done. That paint is immaculate. You are one lucky prick. Factory paint ftw.

Found some more photos.

The car you see rolling through the dirt was a ute with 20's that lost control at the end of the straight at Wakefield.

Heed these words, DON'T go to the track on 20's.

Currently I am in negotiation with Federal Tyres because their shitty RSR's have started to split on 2 of the tyres. (common issue, was hoping it wouldn't happen to me). So now Im getting RS3's. Fingers crossed for some compensation haha.

I had the same issue with my rsrs. Federal usually tell people that they are OK to run like that and will only replace if the de laminate. Wtf. I know of others that have run them like that and reported that as they wore down the cracks wore away. I ended up selling mine off. Let us know what federal says and does.

Time to try some of this stuff. It gets a good rap from the guys over on the detail forums. Meant to last a few months aswell.

Ordered some of this today. So cut and polish 1st then apply this?

Hmmm. If I peel it back there at the biggest tear I can just about see the cording on the tyre.

I wonder what they will say.

Doesn't sound too good. Will definitely be interesting to hear what they say. They've recently released a newer version called rsrr. I wonder if the problem has been fixed with those.

@Robzilla32

Ideally what you want to do is clay then polish then wax. But you will be able to get away with a polish then apply the wax. Take note of my tip before.

(Don't you all go buy to much of this, I don't want them to bump the price up like mcquiars or some other stupid expensive brand :P)

@admS15

I wouldn't risk it hence moving away from federal. But let's see how it all goes. I'll be doing a skid pan on them so if they let go that will probably be the time haha.
