Is that going to make "that" much of a difference though?

I assume they go a bit hard and will require more heat in them to work?

For the money they're on par with 255 Federal RS-RRs, ($600 for 235 R17s).

Would they be better than those?

I'm tossing up the same rubber as Hadouken or going 255 if I can clear it.

I've gone with a 3 year shelf life rule. If stored correctly then tyres can last a long time.

These especially are sooooooffffttttt haha. Looks like they were stored very well and will be used up in 6 months.

These will shit all over a street tyre (rsrr) Even if they are old.

Oh the sale is on softs is it? maybe they'll come up to being a medium :D

Soft will get chew up too quickly.

They might be better than an RS-RR in the same size but im talking 235 vs 255 with the added advantage of the RS-RR lasting longer.

Hey mate, did Josh at MCA ask you for your choice of tyre when selecting your series/spring rate for coilovers?  You went with Purple X-Rs right?

    • My first thought is run hardlines, but running a soft pipe is easier and quicker, though normally more exxy...
    • It sounds like the perfect time to do easier tasks like, work out how to pull the headlights fully apart, clean them inside and out, and make them meticulous... Or lose all the clips, f**k up polishing the lenses, and get frustrated with that job while you can't do bigger more fun ones and wind up with no usable headlights...   I mean... What?! 😛
    • @soviet_merlin Thanks mate!  Nothing too major but will hold me up for a while. I've got lipomas to get taken off the back of my neck and the middle of my spine which always conjures scary thoughts!  It sounds worse than it is. Yeah great, more time to contemplate rabbit hole deepening , just what I need! 🤣
    • I'd argue the F50 kit I got is very good value. For ~2k I got the calipers (refurbed condition), adapters, pads, brake lines, rotors, and top hats. I think you'd be pretty hard to get Evo/GTR/350z brembos + the additional hardware for similar money. Used market for a pair of front calipers alone I've seen tend to run anywhere from $1500-2000 depending on condition.    That said, something like a GTR or 350z brembo is a lot easier to adapt to the Silvia.
    • Is there a significant price difference between the Evo/gtr/350z brembos vs the F50? Looks amazing.
