My company is currently looking to hire some young people who want to get into the I.T. industry. Both for Sydney and for Melbourne.

Why young? Because the starting pay is pretty low, but jumps quickly as you progress in your career ;)

Must be reliable, fast learner, have good work ethics, and a drivers license+car.

The company deals with enterprise hardware (servers, big storage, etc.), so once you get settled into this part of the industry, you can make some big $$$.

Ideally you would be finishing TAFE or some sort of I.T. uni degree and want to start working. Training is provided by the company. If you have messed with computer hardware then you'll pick up the work very quickly.

PM me for more info.

Note: If this is against forum rules, I apologise. Feel free to delete this thread if so.

Support Engineer (Field services, i.e. go out and fix stuff).

Deal mainly with servers, but also deal with storage (disks, tapes) and other enterprise equipment.

If you have a certification/qualification in an OS or device (e.g. CCNA, AIX/Solaris admin), feel free to contact me.

P.S. I'm not a recruiting person, I work for this company lol. I'm trying to get locals into our technical team.

I would be very Interested in this job if mine falls through atm.

i have been working 3 days for the past 2 months at Prfessional IT in Taren Point and they do the same thing. i love the job and if i dont get my trainee ship there i would definately look for somewhere that does the same thing.

i will be completing my hsc exams soon, i have qworked at maccas for 4 years so im good qwith customers and im a very quick learner.

So if my traineeship falls through ill be in contact

Hey sorry for going a bit off topic but do you have any advice for someone trying to get into the I.T industry?

Im 24 and have spent most my time in construction but i can't stand it anymore and want to get into something that i enjoy and that has some career prospects.

For Nissan nutter do a certificate and diploma at tafe would be a good start I knew plenty of student similar to u now either in university with me or work in the information technology full time now

As above, look at doing a TAFE course, then you'll have to find an entry level job with a low pay. After you get some experience, you can get more certs/get a better paying job and start specialising in an area (networking, hardware, operating system, applications).

Hey Nizmo_man if they do decide on opening up a part time position let me know i would be keen.

Also Christmas break is approaching so full time is okay until next year when university starts.

Plus I can work everyday except Monday

Depends what you want to do, for instance I am in programming, and if that was your field of interest, I would say pick a language and build something/do some open source software, if your interest is hardware I would suggest tafe or something as it's not as easy to "just do something" in hardware.

Sounds ineteresting. I don't have any of the CCNA stuff but I do have a Bachelor in computer science. Also located in Sydney and currently working night shifts. If you think I may be suited PM me man ill send you a resume. My strongest points in IT are hardware support, software support and software development(my course was oriented around software development but Ive also got a cert 4 in programming and a advanced dimploma in software development which did cover hardware shit).

    • January or Feb is it booked in for turbo fitment?
    • The MX5 has had some annoying rattles in both front doors over bumps So I installed fancy pants door bushings, which stopped all of the rattles with the windows up, but........with the windows down there was still rattles, so after some googling,  and a chat with MX5 Mania, I got some new door to glass weather seals, all the rattles, windows up, or down, are gone now Shout out to MX5 Mania, the weather seals were on sale, and when I head to Dural to pick the up they even fitted them for me for free I did see a "really" nice Blue NA sitting out front   and this Black NC PRHT that looked like it has sat in the sun for its whole life and never had a wash, the clear coat was non-existent, an it looked horrible, really horrible, but, it had a nice turbo kit with over 200kw, the thing went like a cut snake, bagging the rears through the gears and dosing like a champ 😍 But, as I've always stated, I am keeping my NC na, I'm happy with the current power the car makes In other news: MX5 Mania do a drive in drive out turbo kit, the only minor additional part recommended for boosting my car, as it sits now, is a oil cooler, and that bonnet vents are definitely required for track use Aftermarket version look a bit to "racecar" spec I wonder how Focus RS bonnet vents would look?????
    • Paint is only structural when applied to the outside of Chinese and Indian cars. Otherwise it should never be present between mechanical joints that were intended to be metal to metal. Pain slips, slides, cracks, compresses, and add thickness that wasn't intended to be there. It comes firmly under the category of "just no".
    • appreciated it thanks   There are threads on the adaptor. I rear re anodising but didn’t know it will reduce strength   re mating services needing to be flat/ not painted, why would that be? I am devastated as car been off for a year, fixed power steering then installed bm57 master cylinder and just before driving it this came up. So annoyed   worried and afraid to drive it, no fun caliper coming off
