i love the bus lane on springvale road. most people dont realise its only valid during peak hour so theres usually no one using it. i can do the speed limit past ol' mate doing 60 in an 80 zone

haha yeah same with the one on doncaster rd.

Ok, so I've been catching the bus to and from work for almost 13months now, and the other day i finished work and was waiting for the bus outside Harvery Norman home HQ (this isn't the first time its happened either) and i could see the bus approaching from a distance so i got up and clearly hailed it down from a distance continuously and the mofo didn't stop and kept driving, so with my bag over my left shoulder ipod in my left hand keys in the other, wallet and coins in my left pocket bouncing around phone in the right, i thought f*k this, this aint happening again, so i sprinted my way towards the bus hoping to catch him at the lights, as i was about 75 meters from the bus that was stuck at the lights, i saw the arrow turn green so i knew my time was minimal, i managed to catch up to the bus before the lights turned green and so i stood infront of it and banged on the window and told him to open the fk up (was seeing red at this stage) got inside and completely lost my shit at him. Sat down huffing and puffing, and i go to the old guy next to me, did he not see me? and he said he must be running late that's why he didnt stop by the way you must be a good runner (made me lol abit) but my point is...how crap is the public system..anyway there's my rant for the night enjoy.

back in the day, before I had cars that is. I went to my usual bustop and just missed it, but same as you i saw him at the traffic lights so i bolted up to it..I tapped on the window and the driver shook his head..Im like cmon man your stopped at a red light but he tells me he isnt allowed to open the door..

So i see the next bustop across the highway and figure i can make it there before he does, so i sprint for it..No shit the light goes green and this guy floors it man just so he doesnt have to stop for me..wtf..thats just being rude..anyway I know the route and he has to go down a few blocks before he comes back up to the train station..Im like f**k this Im running to the train station its a good Km or so there too..So i sprint flat put all the way, when i get to the road I see him just parked up at the buststop.. now this flamin mongrel sees me crossin the road and pulls out, but he gets stuck at a roundabout. As you can imagine im pretty damn pissed off by now, so I run in front of the bus and smash the windscreen on the f**ker with my fist telling him to let me on the f**king bus..(i didnt actually expect to smash it i just wanted to hit it)

So this bus driver gets out and starts ranting on about how he cant drive now because the windscreen is broken and all his passengers have to wait for another bus blah blah blah, i say whatever flamin mongrel, you should have let me on the f**king bus..As i am argueing with him i hear my train arrive, so i run to the station and get on my train and get to work on time anyway because of all my running..LIKE A BOSS........

i had one merge into my lane with no room to spare yesterday, i know he saw me, i saw him looking in the mirror.. hand on horn for about a minute straight, i let him through. hes rolling in front of me and starts using the engine brake. f**king smoke.

got his plates, gonna report this flamin mongrel

just another reason to doubt the licensing system in Victoria..nobody even knows the damn rules..

No one in Australia knows the road rules. Or, if they do, they choose not to follow them.

Worst are the fkrs that like to stick in the right lane and drive 20kph under the limit.

Mum's partner's car was written off because a bus cut him off at a round about. Thing is, the bus driver just kept on driving... Must happen often because the public transport department didn't hesitate to compensate for the damages.

    • Is there a diameter difference in the stock to Nismo? If so, the weight alone won't be indicative when comparing flywheels of the same diameter, since the radius of the flywheel acts on the moment of inertia with a square factor, where as mass is linear. Roughly going from a 4.5kg flywheel with radius 20cm, to a 9kg flywheel with radius 14cm would see them act the same. This calc is just here to act as a brief numbers comparison and reflects no actual RB flywheel diameters etc. it also assumes even weight distribution (thickness) throughout.
    • It seems this could be due to a restructure/team direction change... Or... You're working with a different category of vehicle... Or you've decided you'd rather be able to play with your own cars again...   I'm hoping the latter...
    • had 4 weeks off over xmas and well did some stuff to the shed and BRZ, well short of is I don't work full time in supercars anymore as of yesterday.........
    • Did you get any down time over Christmas, or have you had any since to play with this? Or have you given up and are trying to get yourself a second hand V8SC instead?
    • A random thought I had just before I hit "Submit on this post". If brake fluid, in a container in my garage that has never been opened goes bad after 18 months, why can I leave it in my car for 24 months in an "unsealed container"... Secondly, some other digging, and brake fluid manufacturers seem to be saying 5 year shelf life... Me thinks there line on 18 months for an unsealed bottle is pretty much horse shit marketing spin. Kind of like how if you drive a car and don't run a turbo timer your turbo and motor will die horribly...   Where I started on this though... Someone (me) started down a bit of a rabbit hole, I don't quite have the proper equipment to do Equilibrium Reflux boiling per the proper test standards. I did a little digging on YouTube, and this was the first video I found on someone attempting to "just boil it". This video isn't overly scientific, as we don't have a known reference for his test either. Inaccuracy in his equipment could have him reaching the 460 to 470f boiling point range in reality. In the video, using a laser temp gun, he claims his Dot3 that's been open in his florida garage for over a year gets to about 420 to 430 fahrenheit (215 to 221c) Doing some googling, I located an MSDS for that specific oil, and from new, it claims a dry boiling point of 460 to 470f. Unfortunately they don't list a wet boiling point for us to see how far it degraded toward its "wet" point. While watching it I was thinking "I wonder what the flash point is..." turns out its only 480f for that specific brake fluid....   As for testing the oil's resistance, I might not be able to accurately do that unfortunately. Resistance level will be quite a LOT higher than my system can read I suspect based on some research. However, I might be able to do it by measuring the current when I apply a specific voltage. I won't have an actual water % value, but I'll have some values I can compare between the multitude of fluids. I'll run some vague calculations later and see if I should be able to read any reliable amount of current. These calcs will be based on some values I've found for other oils, and see how close I'll need my terminals together. From memory I can get down to 1pA accuracy on the DMM. I don't think my IOT Power Tester has any better resolution.
