How do you give way to the bus when the bus is next to you in the lane(i.e. fronts about even) and then decides to cross into your lane when you have no where to go? Had this happen to myself going past Doncaster a while back.

Wish it were that simple. Solid lines, In the middle of an intersection, I was up against a f**kin high gutter in the left lane. No where to go. Had I not backed off I would have had some nice new body work.

Guys I hear your pain. I have driven in all our lovely states and territories and I can tell you now that Perth is the up with the worst cities I have been in. People actually drive like wankers to piss you off. Example; 3 or 4 lanes and people are sitting in every lane going 80 or 90 kph in a 100 zone. They either don't see you coming at 100kph behind them or they don't care and they sure as f**k don't move. Sometimes they actually all slow down together pinch.gif

Another example that happens all the time is that some f**ker will be in the right lane in an 80 zone. They are going 50 or 60kph. I overtake on the left and the f**kers will actually speed up to block you. This happened last weekend and the wanker actually went from 50 kph to 100 to stop me getting around him. WTF??? rant.gifrant.gifrant.gif

Oh and people pull in front of you with only a meter or 2 gap and one flash of the indicator (if you are lucky) as they finish cutting you off. I had a dude miss me by less than a meter on Saturday and he pulled in front of me with no indicator and he swerved like an idiot too. I honked and when we were at the next lights the fat old mangina just glared at me. rant.gifrant.gifrant.gif

On topic now sleep.gif The bus drivers here aren't too bad at all.

next time a bus driver is about to pull out of a bus stop, just stop next to him and slightly ahead of him just so he can't get out.

chuck your hazards on too. if he tries to reverse for room to pull out, reverse with him to keep blocking him off or there will

probably be other cars behind you to block him anyway, who are all probably beeping at you too. if he gets off the bus,

thats your green light lol

been wanting to do that, but never had the balls to lol

only incident apart from buses pulling out of the bus stops right in front of me (over it now, used to it)

was when i was going down mc kimmies, towards the dysons depot. was doing the limit of 70 and a "not in service"

bus came from plenty road and sat right on my ass, left no more than a foot's gap. without hesitation, i slowed

down to just under 40 and by that time he was already tooting while i flicked the bird at him.

just as i expected he tries to go on the opposite lane so i just let it go, cos by the time, we were already approaching a

roundabout which he almost collected a corolla.

i have no problems with people driving quickly to get somewhere, because who knows, they may have a sick family member,

wife's giving birth, needs to take a dump whatever. but when people sit on your ass, that's a whole different story.

    • 49719 is the cooler loop. Right at the front, LHS of that diagram. Return line from rack (LP side) goes to cooler loop on RHS front of car, then back under engine and returns to bottom of tank. 49717M is feed from tank to pump. HP line out of pump is thick rubber, followed by the hard line that runs down to crossmember and runs in parallel (but opposite flow direction) to the LP return line. Nothing goes anywhere near the firewall or interior of car. The closest they get to that is the connections on the rack.
    • Thanks, plan is to drain all fluid tomorrow and do smoke test to find out the leak.   Appreciate your help and want to understand how the system work. So cooling is achieved by the long loop not any rad? The diagram seems to suggest it connects to somewhere inside the cabin and I thought that is a cooler inside firewall. If you look at the diagram it seems to show it connects to something inside firewall. I tried chasing it but not easy unless I take loads off   i am confident pump is good as fluid goes in and it gets soft( steering) but as soon as I turn engine off , loads of bubble come to surface and overflow. When engine is on , fluid level is below minimum but when off it shoots off and thinking it is sucking air in. I suspect aluminium pipe may have a crack line or whole   smoke test with no fluid should be a good start and if needed will remove the pump   In addition, the one going under the engine bay is high pressure line and one directly connecting from pump to resorvoir is return/ low pressure?   finally I searched and suggestion is to use dexron 2 but that is discontinued so bought dexron 3 as all research suggest it is compatible and shouldn’t cause any issues/ blow seals. I bought two liter of dexron 3 motul atf
    • Don't worry about. Just don't try to drive hard enough to make boost and you'll be fine.
    • Yes. This has already been said. It is a loop of hardline in front of the radiator. Because.... the pump is on the LHS and the steering rack hydraulic connections are where they always are on a RHD steering rack....on the RHS. The high pressure line goes down under the engine, along the crossmember, like it does on all Skylines. Don't just throw expensive braided hoses/other kits at it. Work out what is wrong and fix that.
    • Still got the afm on the intake, clamps are shut tight, only loose hose is the one that goes from the j pipe towards the IACV, since it's next to impossible to find a factory hose and the barbs are different sizes (I'm still using clamps on this hose to try and help it seal on the iacv side) I've ordered parts to make up the hotside of the intercooler pipes, I'll plumb it in and see what happens in a few days I suppose The turbo's internally gated, can I just unscrew the tension rod to let the gate open?
