New Tyres

hi guys,

just wanted to know what is a good tyre to use and the reasonable price for them?

I currently have bridgestone potenza re50a 245/45/18 but it is due for a change. I have noticed that the rear wheels doesn't grip so well from a hard takeoff.

I've read some reviews on other tyres but not sure

how reliable they are so I am seeking some personal experiences.

if you could post the brand, quality and price I would really appreciate it.

I also heard that new tyres our from bridgestone re002 any users??

I'll be replacing my Yokohama V103 with these because all reviews would indicate they are better at half the cost.

Im using Maxis Vectra 4, 245/35 20s. They grip well the rears are a little worn as they where on the front for a month or 2 b4 i had the old rears replaced, they grip well they do break traction in the wet if you go hard but what set of rubber doesnt.

guys, try this site for some decent reviews for tyres. avoid the cheap stuff...

I had Yokohama Advan Sports, and they stick like glue. However, they are really pricey. So, i got Kumo KU31s this time around, and they are not tooo bad.

I have Khumo KU19s on the rear of mine. I can't really compare them to anything except the front tyres, I bought them because they were $185 per tyre, plus fitting. which was cheaper than most of the 'no-name' brands. They have been good so far, but they have only done about 1000km, far too soon to give a good opinion.

Unlike the tyres on the front, which are noisy!! I think they are the original Japan tyres (which I know shouldn't be used, but they where on it when I brought the car and it passed a roadworthy!), they are Yokohama dB euro. Either it's noisy tyres, or I have a bad wheel bearing, but the noise seems to go away over about 50km/h, which doesn't usually indicate a bearing!..

Anyone on the goldcoast or brissy have a road worthy set of 19" at all? I have tyres coming in but 4 weeks away and need some to clear my defect. They were supposed to be here already but some delay in customs....

Or im looking to but some 18x9 with 245s on them i can track with, let me know if you have anything.

I have crappy bridgestone's on the car still from when I bought it about a week ago. They have f'all tread left but still seem to do the job.

Looking at the P7 by Pirelli or the KU31s by Kumho. Had Kumhos in the past and have been great to me. Bob At tyrepower Newcastle looks after me every time.
