As per title,

I've decided to get some wheels spacers to fill out the gaurds on my gtr, since the standard wheels sit a bit too much in.

Im after that sorta flush - ish look, but dont know what spacers to get, that'll do the job. I know that the standard 33r wheels are 17x9 + 30.

Im not really too good when it comes to this sorta stuff. Thanks for all the help.

This is how my 33r sit now -

20mm for reasonably low like Ash's.

If yours is lower than that, 25-30mm.

i dont understand this reasoning, your saying if its lower get wider spacers..how come??

ED**oh wait this is a camber thing right??

Sorta.

Plus, if you lower than what height the GTR Ash have posted pic, 20mm will sunk further in hence wider spacer may be required (of course it all depends on what sort of look the OP want).

Also don't forgot, tyres are one thing you need to consider whether you want tucking in or sticking out - again depends on height of the car, camber etc etc.

Thanks for clearing that up dude, appreciate it, but im still a little confused

I dont really know how to get to what i want, I want that hella flush look, where the wheels and gaurds are as close as possible, and maybe a little wheel tuck?

If i was to use 25mm spacers, you think it'l do the trick?

how far are you looking to go? like this

for that look youll need at least 30mm spacers on the rears and maybe more like 40 on the front. then get some 195 tyres and some adjustable camber arms front and rear. and lower it like 3 inches. and roll your guards

It may do the trick, best for you to try and see how you feel.

I think your wasting your time going for the hellaflush look on stock wheels. Better to save the spacer money and hunt for new wheels

Your right in that regards, actually me and another member on here were looking at a set of Rota's P45r 19x10 +20, for his r32 and my r33. He got them, but when i sold my old wheels that were on my gtr i didn't make as much as i thought i would. So i thought, i'll make it look decent for summer (by using the spacers) and spend my money on something else (looking for a e30 bmw convertible atm).

If only money grew on trees :(

    • There's a post from a member (can't recall who), went down the path of a twin scroll G30-660 and it's doing over 300kW+ AND comes on about the same as a high flow RB25DET turbo. Have your cake and eat it too in this case. TBH, if I had a 2nd chance of building my car again (i.e. someone gave me what I wanted for my shit box, but the deal was I had to re-build another R33 and keep the change) I would just pop in a stock NEO motor (with new seals, rod bearings, ARP studs, head gasket, sump, Nitto pump), get a smaller twin scroll turbo, modify the stock low mount (keep the divider in place), and make a solid 300kW on 98RON and call it a day.
