I have read through so many catch can setup threads and there is so many different ways to set them up I'm going to run one which vents to atmo now do I have to plumb the pcv into the can or just the cam covers. Also can the cam cover outlets be turned I want to place my catch can at the back of the engine bay

Don't have it vent... If its blowing a bit, and fills up you'll soon know why I say this...

Because if it overflows, in a hot engine bay, instant fire. Seen 4 cars over the years light up for this reason. It's very easy to forget to empty it etc.

Ok so if I was not to vent it what's the best way to set it up doesn't have heaps of blow by

If I left the pcv as factory how would it idle funny as it has not been changed just the cam covers

Because the PCV goes to the plenum...when you un-seal the engine by venting the can to air the motor can suck un metered air into the intake through the PCV....just like a vauum leak

Got mine running from the breathers to an atmospheric catch can.. then using a drain to the the rear turbo drain that im no longer using due to my single conversion

in theory should work fine.. yet to run it though

easy way to explain it..

take the hose that runs from your cam covers to your intake pipe.

.put a cathcan in the middle of it somewhere..

Job done.. ;)

you can make something more elaborate if you wish but there is no real need..

Most have a little clear tube so you can tell if its filling up, just make the drain point easy to get to

yeah I stuck mine under the guard under the airbox :ninja:...

Can was 20$ of ebay and hose was 20$ from somewhere like enzed..cheap easy does the job..actually I have no blowby so it does nothing ..lol

You can just put a little tap in the bottom of it if draining it becomes a problem.
