yup..

i just pulled the cover off to give it some paint and found it like that..

My car has been hard to start at times and feeling a bit more unresponsive than usual, could this be why..

it hasnt been rattling or making any weird noises cause i think it was locked in place pretty tight anyway..you can see heat mark but where it has broken.

Hahaha WTF! I wonder how the hell that happened. Has the engine been out or has the car been in a front end accident?

i think I know why my car hasnt been 100% :/

anyone know where i can get a new one..

it was in a front end years ago but i had it off 6 months ago it was fine..

it was hit again a few months back on the side, it banked up in the dirt which broke the radiator fan shroud but nothing else was hit and I have driven it around since..

maybe it was cracked last time I had it off and I didnt notice..

oh well good thing i found out now than later I guess..

i thought you would like it mafia ;)

ok, on closer inspection when i try to put the 2 pieces back together, the bottom half fits together nicely like its a fresh break, but the top half the pieces dont sit together so im guessing it was cracked at the top for quite a while.

Its not something i would have ever thought to look for though..maybe it happened when it was hit years ago..

ok i just rang ol mate and he says the engine was never hit, it still has the original fan and the radiator had only just pressed up against the fan..So nothing has hit on the cas, unless the fan has bounced off it maybe..

anyone got a spare..?? PLEASE!!!

exact same thing happened to me when i first got my motor. turned out the shaft of the cas was slightly bent, causing the cas to gyrate, which snapped the bracket in the same way as yours. thanfully the guy i bought the motor off gave me another cas and bracket.

check your cas
