Just curious what is the widest (and still legal) wheels anyone has put on an R32 GTS-T, remembering that they don't have the flared guards as in a GTR. I have just ordered R 17 x 9 and F 17 x 8 Simmons Alta wheels however a bloke at Simmons had look at my car and said that 8" would be the maximum one could use at the rear without flaring guards etc. I personally would have thought any R32 would easily swallow 9" wide at the rear...

Also I am ordering new slotted disc brakes for my car and I need to know if the discs on an Australian compliance 200sx (S14 or S15) - or an Australian compliance r32 GTR (there a few out there!), are the same as an r32 GTS-T. This saves custom making discs as I can just order those compatible with my r32.

My r32 has 9" on the back, they look pretty tough, but as my car is lowered a bit they sit about 1cm from the guard. You wouldnt want to go any wider with the same offset.

The front disk rotors are the same as on an S14/S15, but different to a GTR. You wont need to get custom ones made, DBA sell them, slotted and crossdrilled or just slotted. Look in their catalogue www.dba.com.au

Hope that helps

I think the ride height plays a big part, and the offset.

My rears are 8" wide with a +30 offset, with 245/40 tyres and from the guard to the centre of the rim is 345mm. (which isnt really too low)

My fronts are 7.5" with +25 offset with 225/45 tyres and ride height measured from the guard to wheel centre is 315mm (too low)

I now occasionally rub the front tyres, but when i raise the height back up to 350mm again it wont be a problem. Oh and my rear guards have been lipped

You guys running 9" rears, can you give me a little more info on the offsets.

OK im back, my ride height (from guard to centre of rim) is 320mm both front and back.

They rub sometimes when going over bumps, but i dont really feel anything, just get a little rub mark on the tyres.

Just reread ur first post and saw you were after the biggest LEGAL wheels. In Victoria you can only increase width of wheels by 1 inch, therefore 9" not legal. Dont know about Dee Why though.
