even though the S1 shares the same engine as the R33 models the ecu has a plug the same style as the R34/S2 ecu's. also to that, of the S1 ecu's there were 3 variations used, i think some of the guys have just plugged in R34 PowerFC's without a problem, while one of the year models is a pain to replace, the ecu's pinout is a fair bit different to the others. if your after some better info you could ask SAU members GoldZilla or Duncan. both have S1's and have had experience in upgrading/replacing the ecu's.

did you do a GTS4 stag engine conversion chris?

yep mine has a Auto C34 4wd RB25 in it. auto box long gone - grey plug on the ECU harness. need to get it working on that harness first then I will consider 'fiddling' with it.)

I've also got an R32 ecu ready to be nistuned with adapter harness for S1 Stagea

Do you have photo for adapter harness?

Who made it?

You guys might find this info useful! (only 3 ecu's on c34 stageas', RB25, RB25Neo, RB26) *S1 RB25 = pita!

Stagea ECU diagrams

Z32 uses a different ecu to the s1 stagea, as does the R32 & R33 GTST (all similar to RB26DETT, single afm is the difference) , the R34 RB25DE & Y33 RB25DET Gloria uses the same ecu as the s1 RB25DET stagea (fyi: the 98-00 VH41DE uses a very similar ecu)!

Worthy of noting is that the neo pinouts are very similar to the s1 ecu!

There is no nistune for s1 ecu!!!

ok cool info

what do u all think or know about ems 4860 ecu?

i am looking at that ecu or a greddy emanage ultimate. what would u think would be easier

4860, you would have to batch fire injection and ignition as it only has 4 drivers of each, not really a big deal. the 6860 would be better as it has 6 of each. why are you interested in EMS? i'm not bagging them out, they just aren't the most popular ecu in the RB world.

Probably should ask first if you have a manual conversion done? if its still auto you should definitely go the emanage route, you could try and piggy back any aftermarket ecu but the emanage is the best fit for the job.

yer i know all about that so annoying lol.

that's why i trying to find out what the best piggy back would be.

a workshop hear in Perth is trying to get me to buy a heltec platinum 2000 there ok ecus but its like 1850 for just the ecu.

u can get greddy emanage for half that
