You dont press it at the same time.

Press the home and hold, as soon as you feel the physical click of the home button, press the off button.

So Press the off button right after you feel the click of pressing the home button, if ya get what I means.

Aparently a similar trick works on the galaxy s 2.2 but I have 2.1 running gear. I'll update the software when I cbf
