Nice! Good career building at banks if you do the right thing. A mate works as an IT consultant and a bank tried to head hunt him recently...they offered him 130k...up from 90k in his current job.

Ain't seen TJ in a long time!

lmao @ taxi full of mannequins.

meh i worked full time at mcdonalds after year 12 while i did my real estate course and waited to get a job thankfully was only like 6~ months but $300 a week was the ghey

300 a week full time at maccas?

I earn 350-ish for 20 hours a week at Coles - part time though.

how old are you grant? i was 17 and you do some night shifts dont you ?

I'm 24 now, I do night fills but the pay rate is same regardless of day/night.

Think 17 y.o earns 16-ish a hour casual at Coles now.

Hrmmm when I was at Coles at 15 I was on about 16, and got to about $20 when I was 20/21.

It's so damn hot today.

Air conditioned office with a little fan on my desk. Feels good.

That can't be right.

When at Coles i was on $10-$11p/h casual rate circa 2001-2002 at age 16-17. Sundays were double if not pay and a half, i cant remember exactly now.

    • I thought about ditching it but I was worried my bonnet would sound like a 90's Swift GTi sub-filled boot.
    • Have you found that you have to tighten your alternator belt once in a while? Mine has started to squeal again after the mechanic tightened it roughly a year ago and the engine starts up slow if I don't start it every day (think the starter motor is going out). It used to be if I don't drive it once a week I'd get a quick squeal on the belt but now it's every day or every other day. I might make a post of the start up sound.
    • I spent the entire of the long weekend going through my garage and I'm now, after 3.5yrs in this house, able to fit a car in. The garage is quite long and the back half has a high enough ceiling for a 2 post lift but it's going to just take too much space and I don't think I'd be able to get around the car if it was in the air. So, in comes the quick lift. It looks perfect. High enough to do most things, I reckon even getting a gearbox out would be doable.  Does anybody here have one? They're fairly cheap (~$3k) considering...  https://www.dtmtrading.com.au/product/quick-lift-portable-vehicle-hoist-3500-kg-worksafe-approved/ I'm also a bit of a non risk taker so I'd probably still use stands when under!
    • Well now we all see it! I did the same. Then cut it out. Then melted half of it. Then discarded it entirely. So... you're in good company.
    • I just replaced the god awful, sagging, crunchy bonnet insulation. It's something nobody but I see but it's been at me for a while.
