Not a fan of 99% of naked bikes, including that one.

Trying to talk myself out of going straight to a gixxer instead of going 250 -> 750..

Mrs is getting her license with s friend as well..

Thats what I did.. yet to be pulled over or caught. Only 3 months of Ls then you take it off so meh. I'm 70KGs twig and can handle it so you should be fine man.

Mines loud as and no fender on it as well.

If I do go down that road I'd obviously ride without the L or P plate...

What's the difference between L's and P's anyway? P's you're still restricted to 250 or bigger LAMS bikes and no passenger allowed on L or P's AFAIK, so what's the difference?

Ls for 3 months then nothing displayed (if your on car fulls which you are) but still restricted for 12 months but you get a full license sent out (blue tab at top) but on the back it says LAMS restricted with expirey date. so 15 months total restricted is minimum. During the 15 months no passengers either. (same lams restriction as well can get 250 or some restricted <650cc bikes)

I displayed Ls for the 3 months, was fine

Thats my helmet but with black visor, more go on what comfy first then look at diff styles

The bike screen or the helmet visor? Bike screen has been replaced with a black one since, it looks awesome. Helmet visor, I might buy a black one but, clear is much better. Sun goes down and you're wearing a black visor = sucks a big one.

On P's you don't have to display a plate at all, unless you are on Ps for a car, and it's basically the beginning of your 1 year worth of practice until you can get a big bike.

Hmm, yours isn't a full on sports bike though is it? LIke your typical tough looking jap bikes, R1/R6, Gixxers, CBR's Ninjas etc?

An L plate would stand out like Flynn in a room full of attractive men, especially on an all black 750 gixxer, so I'd say not displaying them at all would be the go

Nah was talking about the helmet visor, already saw the photos you put up of the bike with the black screen, looks off its dick. And f**k functionality/safety, has to look good lol

Mines a "sport" not "supersport" bit more upright position than leaning way over, happy with that for now.

A bit more learner friendly than a gsx R, but still got enough power to have good fun / sound.

Yeah wasn't bagging your choice of bike more the fact that a supersport is more likely to attract attention. Might be worth the risk, I'll see how comfortable I feel on the bikes at the license course and then maybe take my mates ninja 250 for a ride before deciding.

Yeah I kno all good dude, just sit on a few bikes at the dealership first and remember that a ninja 250 is nothing like a 'real' ninja totally diff seating position / style of bike

I was in the same boat as you so settled for something in the middle. A bit cheaper too.

If I'm gonna settle for something in the middle I'd just go back to the 250 ninja and learn on that, upgrade to gixxer after 6-9 months

I've sat on my mates 250 Ninja, more upright position like yours than the real deal Ninja and other supersports..

There's a nice Ninja at my work every now and then, green which isn't my style but a tough looking bike..

I'm leaning towards an all black 2009 gixxer though, not a fan of the newer gixxers, something about the front just doesn't do it for me...
