Well ya said this ya cock and it kind of implies problem ownership for the club:

Ok so you read one post and don't tie it to everything else I've been saying in other posts and you think it's a blatant dig at SAU Vic? It's a blatant dig at a moderator that likes his power, not the club. And I'm a cockhead.

You ask us to have an opinion, well there is my opinion. No ones going o let ME do anything about it. So why say "if you don't like it - do something about it"

Dude I cbf anymore it's clearly falling on deaf ears so no point.

Dude I didn't de-clarify my point by that quote. If anything it reinforced my point by providing evidence to my claim that the relevant people don't have mod access

One-hit-Aaron. How about dead-bird

Honestly, with amount of 33r's on carsales at the moment, I wouldn't bother importing one. But if you don't mind waiting 3-4 months for one, go for it.

33r makes for a good daily driver and weekend tourer as long your missus doesn't over pack!

agreed if I can find a nice clean one at the time un AU will jump on it.

eg James' one for sales atm would be perfect

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/404950-vic-r33-gt-r-black-very-clean-292rwkw/ Free plug

but if nothing I can find i am happy with then I will import

Yeah, James' one is pretty nice except for bonnet lip (absolutely hate it), has good mods and well priced.

Now to find a job when I get home from the UK on Monday night...

On the side, guys, the club IS the members...that's all committee are...members who volunteer their time to help run the club. We aren't on a payroll and we don't think we're special or better than anyone (except Tony; arrogant shit). If you don't like something about your club, change it. I'm not saying "well you do a better job", but turn up to every event and make it something big/special, get fellow members along; make suggestions about what events you want to see happen and when - the events guys won't knock it back unless it's unfeasible.

We're part way through a revamp of SAU Vic at the moment; we're trying to make the membership more worthwhile. This value-adding includes rehashing our affiliates/sponsors - scrapping the old places that don't even recognise us anymore and getting some big name / commonly used businesses on board as supporters - Tony has been doing an awesome job of this and discount at one of these places alone will more than have the cost of membership paid for. The events guys are looking at doing some cool shit for us, we have some quality members-only merchandise on the way (e.g. jackets) and the rest of us are working to make the club more interactive so people know exactly what's going on at all times.

Alex is right when he says these cars aren't what they used to be. Half the club isn't even Skylines and there are very few paid membership clubs around these days for our demographic and type of car. The car scene isn't what it used to be and neither are the clubs. On top of this, our club isn't for everyone...if you don't feel you're getting anything from it, no one will blame you for not renewing or not joining in the first place. SAU Vic puts on DECA and motorsport events and for people like me, attending these alone are worth the cost of membership. But we are trying to add more to the club so that more people can get more out of it.

tl;dr: quit whinging, good things are on their way, give us a hand.

Good read, better than 50 shades of Grey

Mother earnt too much last financial year = $1600 less in my return this year :angry;

Gimme a loophole Tony!

There are no loopholes and dodgies :P

so looking at S15 or 34 GTT

but damn, how cheap have 33R's got, so i'm thinking for a low KM daily why the F not have something fun!

so atm it a 33R or a evo6 TME

Buy mine haha

But yeah 33r's have become crazy cheap. Makes me want to rethink getting an overpriced 34R

How many times do I have to say "nothing against SAU Vic, but against the particular mods" for u to understand I'm not sledging SAU Vic.. Seriously dude read what I wrote again.

I think the comitee are doing an excellent job with what resources you are given. But why does a moderator have to be so selfish and power hungry, that it effects the members?

Fair enough he does alot for SAU ie nationals etc. but why is it so hard for moderator access to be given to one of you, when it can be so easily given to that f**king deadshit mad082? Technically moh should be given access is marc has it.

And I've offered my help a countless amount of times and it goes unnoticed so what's the point?

Tl:dr;

Stop telling me I'm sledging SAU Vic when I'm clearly not. Give someone else in committee mod access. Get rid of Mad082. = happier SAU

please dont compare me to him -_-

Well so far being a member for a month or two and been to the last 2 months garage cafe meets, SAU vic execs are doing a great job. Not sure how the members section side of things are as i don't have access yet....

Just curious, who is this Ash guy? I still want my members access lol

    • yeah i agree paint match stops it from standing out so much, oh that's actually really good to know i was wondering if it would help with air flow now actually having an outlet in the bonnet. Will have to focus on ducting into and out of the radiator now to make the most of it.
    • I would paint match the whole thing to avoid unwanted attention  I had a similar bonnet, paint matched, on my old R33 GTST, but mine was a fibreglass jobbie made by Blitz in QLD, they work extremely well for radiator efficiency and under bonnet temps
    • Does anyone run this kit with factory plenum? Does the adapter and bosch tb fit under factory strut brace? I wanted to get this setup before going forward facing manifold. Thanks
    • small update time, after always wanting a "cool" looking bonnet for my car and always struggling to find one for the series 2 that i liked and wasn't an insane amount of money. Saw one i liked on RHDjapan from D-speed in Japan the price was very good for a carbon bonnet so good infact i was a little unsure how much i trusted it, decided to bite the bullet and with the help of jesse streeter in not long at all it was at my door. Once it was delivered i ran in from work and quickly unboxed it and to my surprise the quality was actually pretty good i quickly removed the old bonnet and placed on the new one to test it out and even the fitment wasnt too bad at all. Then decided to paint the little grille in the bonnet black to stop it sticking out so much.   I decided to not mess around with the hood latch and just install some aero catch hood pins, having never installed them before did some YouTube university classes and i was good to go. fair to say it is not a fun job at all from making brackets so the pins sit nicely and actually cutting through the bonnet but also being very scared of cutting the holes too big it took wayyyy longer than i would like to admit but finally got it there. Then it was time for a quick test drive to ensure the latches actually worked and thankfully the bonnet looked very stable. I still think paint matching the bonnet and leaving just the part that sticks up as carbon would help make it all look alot neater as im not sure how i feel about all that carbon on a very fridge white car but will leave it as is and see how i feel with time.
    • I think it's bound to happen, you finally get it all perfect, and bam, something will happen. I took a while to get a Commodore rear quarter repaired where a P Plater clipped it. Two days after getting it back, Sarah wiped it out on a concrete pillar in an underground car park... This is why I take forever to repair them, it stretches how long until it gets bent again... 😛
