mine is fine.. maybe you broke something?

Nah nothing. Everything went straight in according to Scott car drives fine. Just idle lol.

They arent nismo they are megan ones. But essentially the same. Maybe I shouldve just gone nismo

Kinda off topic, kinda not....I would like to If I may talk clutches.....

what are ppl using thesedays? With what power, usage of vehicle and longevity?

I would like some recommendations please....but not of extreme....as it appears my years of support of them and my purchase of many(probably around 6 id recon) clutches still doesnt deem me important enough of a response from them....so they can shove it.....(this is the 2nd time I"ve contacted them with null response....grrrrr end rant)

Does anyone have the hookups for clutches at a better price? Its been so long since I've been in the trade now...wahhh retail hurts..

Want me to bump the idle up a bit? Perhaps its harmonics at that idle speed?

I heard something banging underneath the front too when you took off, perhaps the cooler pipe? Could you be feeling that through the wheel somehow?

I'm running an exedy HD organic, not huge power 180-190 rwkw but lasted me near on 3 years of track use so pretty happy with that.

Haha enjoy.

What do you reckon of the new marv creations? Popping candy and jelly bits.

Popping candy tasted good, though I'm guessing it's targeted at kids as pop rocks usually are. The jelly one got stuck in my teeth hard lol, ruined a pod block of chocolate for me...but my mate loved it so meh. I love mousse too, but can't beat the classics sometimes. Do you guys do Top Deck in bar form?

Cooler pipe could be right to some extent seeing as the engine has moved a little.. But I doubt that much. Drive it tonight when I come past

At the moment, I have the Nissan GTR clutch but Racepace will be strengthening it to handle 300+ rwkW.

Or go an Exedy or Nismo Coppermix.

On The Run Motorsport could help you out.

A friend of mine ordered off RHD Japan's website, take a look.

Did you pop your motor? What's planned for it?

I'm using the Nismo Super Coppermix twin plate. Great clutch which can handle a heap of power (400+kw) and it feels like your using a standard clutch.

spoke to jamie at garage cafe one of his pistons was knocking or something, he's getting it rebuilt (forgies) with -5s or similar

Think he wanted -9's. Were trying to convince him to go -5's to make use of his built engine, we'll see if he will succumb to the powah!

But nah -9's great for the street!

Hey Toby accounting question -

Is there a downside to buying a car outright (cash) I mean I know you won't claim interest etc but that's fine cos you don't have to pay it in the first place.

So im guessing the only negative is that you don't have the leverege that keeping the cash at your disposal provides

Does that make sense?

    • My hold point for future mods is that I want a OEM detachable hard top first, but, finding one is a pain, MX5 Mania are looking for one for me, but, as hens teeth are more common, finding one in Australia is proving problematic  I can get a OEM one from overseas, hell, you can still get new ones in 'Merica, but, shipping is a absolute killer and I cannot justify the cost, or the risk of it being damaged during transport As for the aftermarket hardtops, whilst they do the job of being a hard top, and are fine for a track car, they don't seal well (read: leak like a sieve in the rain), and you need a plastic/poly rear window, plus they are a bolt in option only and not made to be easily removed I liked how the hard top on my NB could be fitted, and removed, by myself, in less than 5 minutes I know it sounds bad, but I'm waiting for someone to write off a car with one so I can swoop in on their pain, it will go to a good home though, so my guilt of this is tempered
    • I’ve got one on mine and it’s fine,
    • No, you don't want to plug the vacuum line, as that will turn that side of the booster into an air spring and probably make it feel worse. I'm not saying that the GTR master itself doesn't need a booster. I haven't paid attention to the GTR one to know what size it is cf the non-GTR ones. But when you think about it - they have to do the same job, which is to move a little slave piston a few mm to do what it is supposed to do, and that final action is the same on all the cars. So, it is very unlikely that the GTR MC is any different than the others, because it has the same pedal stroke and the same output requirement. The booster just makes it feel easier. I'd suggest you probably have an actual hydraulic problem. It's totally common on these old shitboxes.
    • Ye, in terms of bolting up the "Conversion" from a GT to a GTT is effectively "Use GTT parts for everything" Except the subframe itself, because you won't want a HICAS/4WS subframe. Remember your ABS system will be different too, thanks to GT being the S15 3 sensor system, instead of the R34 4 sensor system for wheel speed. I do not know how people get this to work given R34 diffs do not have a provision for an ABS sensor (they are on the tone wheels of the axles). I assume***** people use S15 gear/R34NA forever when they realize this - Or they convert it to a rear diff/axles that are R33 style which I presume has the singular speed sensor on the diff itself, but then you have to wire it all in and...and... and...
