So after waiting 3months to import my Stag and only driving it for 4months, it has come to an end being a write off...... even more annoying is the fact that summer is just around the corner.

It's basically a desktop support role, you'd be the first line of contact to try and resolve internal employees PC issues and / or escalate to level 2 / 3. Two of the Three level 2s are on SAU - small world :P

Probably not your thing.. but thought id mention it! and to any other wastelanders I know a few do / study I.T

We end up talking cars a lot anyway lol

If only all jobs were advertised for what they really are in the world!

So got defrauded on ebay.

Got bored and decided to try and find some contact details:

after about 10 min

got his address,

GF phone number

GF mum's phone number

Where he works

job title

phone number.

sent him a friend invite on FB

and think found parents address and phone number..

but leaving it with the cops for the moment.

but seriously if your going to scam some-one you prob best not be plastered all over the net.

Amazing what you can find out with a bit of digging isn't it? :D

Have similar such methods for dealing with SAU scammers & other things. Funny thing is that most of them simply are not that intelligent to begin with so information can come thick and fast on occassion.

I tell people sometimes just to google their own name/phone number. It's hilarious sometimes how much stuff is returned as a result.

Haha exactly, not gonna BS - it is what it is. Fairly entry level but got to start somewhere! Would be good if I did find someone that was successful would mean I'd get 2k :D

Obviously the job isn't that bad considering the other guy has been doing it for 10 years

Asian name and the Asian learner thing

Basti I'm white sorry to dissapoint! Haha

Oh true, forgot about those. Did live in Asia for a time :).

LOL @ starting the colour check in bahahaha.

OT: Digital age is indeed scary...

I still wake up occasionally from the dogs barking, but they go for ages so it is expected

apart from that it's good

It does. I'm taking it most nights now...too impatient to wait for my insomnia to subside naturally.

Only trying it for the alleged wake up feeling fresh benefit

Nah, impossible to catch them with just finger prints if any in my car.

Funnily, i got a mail yesterday from a Vet clinic with my indoor soccer membership card..... so they must've threw out all my stuff out the window while making the escape.

So who here has a Hyundai Excel or Ford Festiva for a daily?

    • Update time!  The JZX110 had some maintenance needing to be done, so a lot of the seals with replaced to fix some oil leaks. Also used this opportunity to whack on a front mount that I'd bought some time ago.  I also finally got the rear lip painted and fitted.  I then got the exhaust done. It's just a catback for now. Custom made 3" stainless with a turn down. I could have a tip coming out, but it will require cutting the rear lip and possibly the bumper itself. So far I do like and it's made the car a little more zippy.  Close out with some nice pictures of the cars and a sneak peek of what's next.

    • This lady loved her FD for 25 years!  https://www.topspeed.com/80-year-old-woman-donates-fd-rx-7-mazda/ My brother in law. He's nice enough to let me drive it whenever. He'll likely not see this, but I'll try: @r-is-for-fun got any pics?
    • Just something I found searching for more info on Emotion R, apparently the ECR33 Skyline GTS25t was either originally black, or there were two of them, the black one being the original demo car, then building a white one which was part of the 1997-onwards (to at least 2008!) Cockpit Tatebayashi Tokyo Auto Salon booth demo cars. It appears that Emotion R closed down in 2008 and was declared bankrupt in 2010: http://bank-db.com/hasan/208365. Scan of a magazine with the black R33 from 1996: Wayback machine archived page from May, 2000: https://web.archive.org/web/20000529061027/http://www.emotion-r.co.jp/skyline.html Option magazine with a few photos from the Cockpit Tatebayashi booth at the Auto Salon from various years: 2002: http://www.jdm-option.com/photo/index.php?action=item&category_id=154&image_id=3507 2003: http://www.jdm-option.com/photo/index.php?action=item&category_id=137&image_id=3033 2005: http://www.jdm-option.com/photo/index.php?action=item&category_id=116&image_id=1831 In 2008 Cusco website mentions that the Cockpit Tatebayashi ECR33 was displayed at that year's Tokyo Auto Salon: https://www.cusco.co.jp/event/2008/12/post_735.html As of 2021 it appears that the ECR33 demo car ended up being exported to Florida, USA: https://rmcmiami.com/inventory/1996-nissan-skyline-r33-cockpit-tatebayashi-demo-car-big-te06-turbo-endless-brakes-lsd-450hp/ And finally here's Google streetview of the Emorion R garage in 2023 which is amazingly not only still there, but the showroom is still full of various parts in stock and funishings, etc.: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ttyEAZdZLyzermyT9 Apologies for nerding out a bit. I used to love doing this 20 years ago on SAU and got a bit nostalgic for a moment... 😅
