What model did you get?

Was looking at Golfs lastnight. Polos too nohomo.

2001 MK4 GTI. Not a fan of MK5's, I do like the MK6 and MK7 but cbf balls-out modding somethng relatively new.

Inb4 whole backseat and cargo area is turned into funky chewy space.

Hahaha that's what I've done to the old golf! The back seats are permanently down for chewie to ride around in. The MK4 is awesome... it's the last golf where the bottom of the back seat hinges up and forwards, and then the backrest folds down... giving you a flat boot from the back of the car through to the front seats... and no seat gaps for the dog to fall into!

How does financing your car = living beyond your means?

I could pay cash for mine but why would you lose all the potential investment of the funds in a depreciating asset, I do have significant tax benefits with my car granted but I can't see who or why you would buy a 50k+ car with cash

Unless fully loaded fair enough but unlikely

I've got around 30 in CBA shares too which I plan to use for house when that time comes, still young (I think? 23? lol) nah but seriously house is on the list.. I know Pat and Nick have investment properties which is awesome props brahz

The bleck Golf? nah picked it up a month ago, just been sittin around till the VAG shop had an opening to service it (teeheehee vag opening service)

Avoided temptation to mod it till I had it all regod and roadworthied.

Stupid Ford homo falcon tapped me in the rear at the lights, he was sitting behind me at the lights for awhile. Was still red light then all the sudden i felt a nudge from behind, he let off the brake pedal without realizing.... didn't bother to get out and see any damage. He just sat in his car looked afraid as I probably has my furious face on, gave me a wave saying it's okay and tried to act cool.......
