Didn't you read the BB thread...if she dumps you for no good reason, it's a slim chance she's gonna get jealous and want to be with you again...otherwise she wouldn't have dumped you in the first place. If you're after revenge, all you can really do is make it known that she was easy to get over by getting with someone else. But really, the best thing you can do, whether you want her back or not, is try to move on. That way if she doesn't come back you've still got a head start on life without her.

Good move either way. It's prolly not what you want to hear, and this is just an assumption cause I don't know the specifics of your relationship/breakup, but the "temporary" break from a relationship is often an excuse to legitimise cheating / playing the field. If it doesn't work out, girl can go back to original boy. So really, the best thing you can do for both of you is move on. There's always that chance she might re-appreciate the relationship...but it's very slim...and do you really want to be with someone whose feelings come and go like that? You made the right choice brah

P.S. the exes that I stayed friends with, I did so because of realisation that the part I would miss most about the relationship was the good friendship. So something to consider I guess. You don't just lose a lover in a break up, you lose your best friend too. If you can stand being friends and overcoming feelings or that person being with someone else, it can be very rewarding to have your old friendship back. Don't fool yourself though, only stay friends if you can keep it in constant mind that you're never getting back together...or it will be torture. Bit different for me cause I'd only been dating them for a short while versus your 4+ years.
