Had a pig on a spit on the weekend. That was fairly confronting seeing the whole animal completely intact. Made you respect where the meat was coming from, not just store/butcher bought. I think a lot of people would have struggled to carve and eat it straight from a pig. Good rite of passage for any meat eater methinks.

Yeah it's a bit different when you grow up on a acreage and you have your some of your animals slaughtered for meat etc, however everything gets used not like most of what people eat today
