very clever.........

no idea tbh. im actually selling my skyline as i join sau...

but once the clubby is ready and i have all the cams gear for the car then ill look! might have a go at the hill climb at nats, other than that havent got a clue! i want something cheap and easy for my first time in the hsv. shes a big girl.

All you need is a cams approved helmet, fire extinguisher and some stickers and off away you go!

As for tracks, IMO Winton is easier for the beginner but Sandown is convenient because its so close

calder in a couple months as well, and this is a pretty good beginner track.

yea not a fan of concrete lol.

wont be going to hard as its my daily hahah! well i have a couple of helmets in the garage, hopefully one of them will work.

have a fire extinguisher in the boot, but yea need to have a bracket knocked up to bolt one to my pasenger seat...

have a magnetic battery sticker, just need one for tow....

would love to do a driver dynamics day as a refresher, but cannot justify 300 at the mo!

Never been to calder park

Is it mostly grass for run offs or concrete walls?

main straigh has plenty run off as it the drag straight, well was last time I was there.

rest is grass then concrete but it all straight line braking. it's really a very simple track.

shit condition tho thanks to 0$ spent on it and drifters.

You'll be fine

My first track day was Sandown in the wet in the daily R34

Just take it easy and you'll be fine!

Bit of press on the FBT changes

Im curious as to know your understanding and explanation on how and why this effects you?

Just trying to gauge the understanding of the changes from the public's point of view

Aaron you should pay attention as this change will effect you

Along with everyone else on your team that gets company cars!

Company pays FBT, and technically we are paying for the car as its apart of our salary and not as a benefit. Ie I can choose to be paid more and not be given a car..

My understanding is that tax is paid on default 20% private use for a salary sacrificed car.

The changes would mean I need to calc the private:business use; when salary sacrificing car I'm not using it for business but 100% private.

That's my understanding of it.

    • All I can say Duncan is good luck and I hope that Neil did not run any E85 in Cheryl. I have recently experienced the full spectrum of fuel tank issues in my R33's that had been caused by E85 and contaminated fuel. When you take the cover off the top of the tank and have a look inside you will get an understanding of how easy it will be. Best case situation is clean fuel with minimal contamination. My GTR was like this and it was a very simple operation to just grab the fuel pump carrier bracket and slide it up and out of the tank. My three GTS_T's had different levels of fuel contamination that was probably caused by E85 in the fuel.  In the worst case all of the metal components in the tank had rusted to the point where there were pieces of rusted metal swirling around in the tank. This required the removal of the exhaust, the tailshaft, the complete rear cradle and the fuel tank. The components in the tank were that rusted that it took days to get the fuel pump carrier and the mounting brackets out of the tank. When the tank was finally cleaned, everything inside the tank had to be replaced. With the tank all back together I could then reinstall it in the car along with everything else that had to come out. Good luck and I hope that you find a clean tank.
    • It is a two door. It is black and also still has the OEM wheels and stereo. Exact model would be KR_R32RGFEL_SS According to GTR-Registry.com is a 2 Door Coupe; RB20DE; 2WD no HICAS; MT.F5; (11L) Projector Headlamps and Fog Lights; (12_) Electronic Active Full Auto Air Con (Climate Control); (13-14SS) V Selection -- Which seems to be accurate description of my variant. Will try to upload a few pictures soon. The OEM wheels look like the below image. Image is taken from the goo-net-exchange website.
