Have to look after tattoos for like 3-4 days minimum if you don't want to wreck them.

A tattoo is a scar and at first it's basically a scab. You have to resist the temptation to scratch them and keep putting lotion on them. I use the unscented bepanthen and reccomend getting that.

And of the scab that you pick off will take ink with it for the first few days.

You also can't keep them wrapped, that whole clingwrap thing is just till you get home then have a nice bit shower and wash it.

Try to wear clothes that don't rub on it for a few days or leave it exposed and keep it moist all the time with the bepanthen.

If you don't follow this you still get a tatt, but you will increase the amount of touchup work required if any. I have mine touched up a month later to ensure they are perfect.

So basically it's your call brah... The better you treat it the better it will look, but if you need to do shit then you need to do shit.

Swimming also not an issue, just make sure you pat it dry.

Also unless on bone they don't really hurt, more irritate

RACV are evil. my boss has the company car insured through them and costs $2700 a year to insure the 2008 hilux, plus $1300 excess for me under 25. I was in a minor accident a few weeks ago (some scratches and paint exchange) and they said "3 days to fix... we'll give you a repair quote when you drop it off for the repairs". so why am I here again? waste of my (and companies time).

Roadside assist for L & first year P platers? $40-80 a year. After that climbs over the $120 mark im pretty sure. I called them out once "hmmm its not your ignition system, your battery is ok and your car has petrol... ill call a tow truck for you kthnxbai"

I got one while on Schoolies in the Gold Coast... was 2 days into a week long holiday in QLD... then afterwards the guy says don't let it get exposed to any sunlight / uv rays or chlorine for the rest of the week or it'll fade and go patchy.

Yeah I might have to re-plan or get in LA instead? or put NY at the end of my trip hrmm what you reckon of LA places for ink?

I'm not entirely sure yet, probably something like a koi or phoenix or some shit like that on my shoulder / shoulder blade, I like the colour ones. I'm still researching what I want exactly. Reckon it will hurt there?

ive had my koi for 8 years now, had it retouched in january this year.

i love it. just make sure you get bright bold colours.

i dont know any studios in la, but i can find something for ya through a friend. has a lot of americans over to do guest spots at his joint.

Get in in winter, makes everything so much easier.

plus will look crap for first few days anyhow so you don't want ppl to see it.

oh and research your tattoo parlor massively, as remember they are "permanent".

(permanent in so much that they are very painful to remove and leave a scar)

and I would say the fact you are still unsure what you want means you should prob not get it, you don;t want to walk in and pick something out of a book, you want to go in with a design and be telling the guys exactly what you want.

It'll be spring or close to by the time I head over, I mean I'm pretty set on a koi but just been looking online at different stuff to see if anything else pops up that I might like.

How much would it cost you reckon?
