Vic Wasteland Thread

I wonder if VicRoads actually ever moderates the declared value of people handing in transfer forms.

I know plenty of "friends" who under-value their cars by thousands on those forms, and for good reason, those stamp duty charges are ludicrous!

Simple answer. Yes when they get audited, no if not

was raining outside, good time to sand down headlights for glassylite :P

Not a good time for dat nano sealant though...

Give it the full 24 hours without moisture; I let it rain lightly on the nano after a couple hours last time and now have small spots all over headlights that I can't remove until I sand it again.

yeah parked it in the shed and did the rest in there, rain stopped so can start to take measures for tanks in the boot without getting wet now

Anyone into man powered bikes?

I want to get my first one. Been told a good mountain bike to start on would be a jamis x3 trail.

$600 give or take.

Need to get fit. Advice?

Alvin can build you one with his bare hands

Get a hybrid, half mountain / half road.

Easier to ride on bike trails and can do the occasional gravel.

You are not going bush bashing and won't be on the roads as you hate cyclists. You will be sticking to bike trails.

Get an entry level bike for $300, upgrade when you know what you really want and suits you.

    • For what it's worth (I'd never looked at the button closely enough to work out it has a person on it!) with the switch 'active' double-pressing the unlock on the remote will cause lights to turn on. As I recall it will cycle through plain-unlock, unlock-with-park-lights and unlock-with-headlights as you repeatedly double-press unlock.
