My previous housemate would leave the oven on all day to cook cakes and the like, chewing up our gas bill. What's worse is when he would start cooking something on the stove and then leave to go to the shops. Surprised the apartment didn't burn down.

LOL. my keep hot function on my rice cooker just turns the rice into rice crispies after awhile. i turn it off when its done. keeps warm for the next hour or so anyway.
