decent breakfast in the back of Balaclava... http://www.monkbodhidharma.com.au/

my old housemate was complaining because they wouldnt put bacon on his breakfast "what kind of breakfast place doesnt have bacon?" A vegan one you f**king moron.

on the hunt for local decent breakfast this morning, but too many bayside cafes are packed full of tards.

Just checked out Chin Chin on the net; yes this looks like the kind of place I'm looking for! Ta :)

I dont think they take bookings and there is usually quite a queue

Just letting you know in advance

Go early!

08 a5 3.2ltr 6 parking system works when it feels like it, drivers window sounded like a chainsaw opening and closing.. Engine oil disappears like no tomorrow engine codes come up for no reason been real pain in the ass lately

All said the car drives like a dream as I said it's just little niggly shit but to me it shouldn't happen on that kind of car all my mates BMW / mercs no problems at all

Get an a45 amg best 80k you'll ever spend!

Yeah shouldn't happen with premium $ cars... Does put me off a bit even though it's the first I've heard of issues with Audi, not that I ask a lot of people though..My mates A6 hasn't had any issues yet but he hasn't had it that long yet, only a couple of months...

Just looked up the A45, if it wasn't a hatchback I'd be more interested....C63 would be the ultimate for me... Second hand 4 doors would be around how much?

Otherwise a newer model M3, black on black. Again though, haven't looked at prices so might be too much...

Lygon st. Can't go wrong. Taken a few ladies there

Pimp

Problem is not many newer cars do it for me these days...

Audi A5/S5. A5 shape looks sick when done right, but S5 would be good for some performance

M3, but don't want the older model every leb and his mate has

C63 AMG, top choice but probably too expensive or 300,000kms for a cheaper one

34 GTR, goes in a completely different direction to the ones above, half the price, but I'd probably spend more on it..

If you recall, we were going to go to Chin Chin on the night of our beach visit, but Aaron and Jess bailed and it was getting late so we called it off.

We've been to plenty of awesome restaurants in Melbourne, the biggest issue of all is that they are awesome for people who eat meat...like most restaurants. I can take you to plenty of well known / reputable vegetarian places...I just won't eat anything there!

No, most of the places you have taken me have also had average atmosphere and service. The 2 awesome places I've been to have been Chandon and Conservatory.

Because everytime I go to take you to an awesome place the vegetarian option on the menu isn't good enough or you already had that the night before and we leave! Like I said, if you want awesome veg only food we can do that - I've taken you to places that I know are great for people who eat meat; also taken you to places that I haven't tried before for the sake of trying something new for both. Reality is, it's a bit hard to pull off anything when one person likes mostly meat and the other won't touch it :)

Our city has a rep for playing host to some of the best restaurants in the world...which counts for nothing if you can't eat most of the stuff they whip up there.

If they are some of the best restaurants in the world then they will cater for everyone.

All I want is to go out to a cool restaurant like I do at home.

    • YO- have been searching and searching for an a31 chassis plug pinout, or someone who knows which wire is for tach.  ceffy was flooded past dash during a hurricane.  having an electrical gremlin appear. tach is wonky reading consistent with a short, and on occasion the right side of my speedo lighting will flicker just for a second then go back to normal.  if no pinout available does anyone know if the tach harness opens or branches anywhere behind the dash? im suspecting a possible root behind the radio as there are more shorts in that area on the accessory loop.
    • Means something is not set up right, tune/calibration related.
    • Finally replaced the previous temporary mesh indicator surrounds (temporary was the last 10+ years 😂) with a 3D printed GTR style version for the front indicators. I think it looks a lot nicer than the old setup and at least the indicators now point in the correct direction rather than angled off. Needed a little bit of tweaking to deal with the intercooler piping but got there in the end. Old and new photos below.
    • It's weird to me that you say this because I'm pretty sure locals with relatively standard standalone tunes (boost/barometric compensated alpha-N) still have driveability issues when they pop intercooler hoses. Maybe with enough data I can just train some kind of model that spits out an expected grams/cyl given every sensor input except MAF like what FCA did with their Pentastar 3.6 ECU logic. Basically stock everything. The main motivation honestly is to have a sensor that can be a decent baseline source of truth. In scenarios you're describing obviously it won't work every time but it seems to me the number of corner cases that exist in MAF load is maybe not as severe and difficult to manage vs ITB alpha-N with some MAP/barometric compensation.
