Martin what are your nuts made of?

If they're too soft (like cheap alloy ones) then they love to mangle themselves and fk up the thread of the stud.

I'd almost rather have a mangled stud than a mangled nut, since its easy to pop into a shop and pick up a single stud than it is to pick up a single MATCHING nut :P

Edit: Actually quite enjoyed changing a stud in the motel carpark at DECA, was a lot less painful than I thought it was going to be... Do S14's have little cutout areas behind the stud like 33s have, so you can bash it out and remove it without taking the whole assembly apart?

Only painful part was not having a hammer with me, so ended up using Anna and Luke's towbar :P Swung that shit like a baws...

yEAh the recheck is the trick...nip em up easy and recheck ...old man thought me years ago to do them up real tight, he would stand on the f**kers..so i would do this but I learnt over the years this was because he had a shit house wrench...add some decent leverage into the equation and they jus

Love JW black platts....especially at that price....not too fancy but not too shit either...its just right...specially with some dry ginger and ice...

I'm on the Bundy and coke zero tho tonight

In other news, Scotty ran right over my Nokia today in his whale..there was kumho tyres marks on it and all so i know it was him....

I had to defibrillatorize it a few times with my fist, but it Still works :D

yeah that said i did get a 25$ torque wrench form supercheap that does make a good wheel wrench...the fact it is a torque wrench is just a bonus

If something requires a torque wrench, I wouldn't be trusting a $25 one for the job.

+ 1 for using logic for everything else... I use a 60cm breaker bar, just a little tug on the end of it gets them to a good tightness, not overdoing it but def not coming off... Just keep those damn tyre shop rattle guns set to 10/10 away from my car and things will be alright...

Nokia tried to commit suicide, due to owner being a hack. :P

I can't believe it still works after being run over by 2ton of whale, twice. All hail the new Nokia brick.

Hey.

Anyone know anywhere where one can purchase something f**king mundane, possibly the most mundane of all Skyline bits.

A R34 N/A Series 1 Grey Front bar?

Bonus points for a rear bar and skirts, for a sedan.

Surely these must be lying in piles somewhere.

but where?

    • Generally yes but for some reason I've been ruthless this time around!  I might even need to do another tip run after the way I've finally been able to hit the delete button on shit I've stepped over, stepped around and tripped over for the past 10 years!

    • More than happy with the colour match Talking to the painter he recommended to give the top a few weeks for the paint to 100% cure prior to sealing it with the ceramic stuff Also, because why not..... I have a fancy pants Fluidampr harmonic balancer on order, the 2.5 engine uses the OEM 2.0 balancer off the old motor as the 2.5 balancer is a larger unit and doesn't fit clearance wise, which, because the two engines have different harmonics, isn't optimal, the OEM balancer does the job, but as the gear driven balancer in the bottom end is removed to fit a RWD application there is slightly more vibration, the Fluidampr helps with the harmonics that the gear driven balancer once took care of,  basically makes life easier on the oil pump and bearings when thrashing it around Hopefully the weather gets better soon because I'm keen for some cruising around, and currently, with the winds and storms we are getting, the amount of detritus being blown around from trees on the road isn't something I want to be driving around in
