As much as I hate Apple and their Orwellian policies, 5S is on the money for me! Been loving it since. From what I hear it's a cut above the standard 5, though.

Not had an issue with it and sadly it's one of the smaller phones on the market, cause for whatever reason bricks are making a comeback these days.

I completely understand. But you know who might not be as understanding as me? God. What you gonna tell the big man when he finds out you went with the Satansung Sin 5?

turn off 4G LTE to save battery

then what is point of having 4g?

i used to get the whole turn of this and that stuff, but whats the point of having it if its gotta be off.

plus have you tried connecting the internet on 3g with an iphone at lunch time in melbourne. good luck.

If a galaxy s5 is not good enough for you, you really need to re-evaluate what you are doing with your life

At the end of the day we all just use our phones for basic procedures such as calls/ browse internet /music etc... 99% of phones will do this so much of a muchness really

Only reason I don't go with a iphone is all the restrictions with itunes i had with my old one. Andriod you just copy and paste music to folders and it plays

yeah well its a trade off - power consumption vs phone network performance

personally i dont mind, i use an old blackberry 9700 so i dont even have 4G

but 4G LTE does on average i think consume more power

Google Nexus 5 ftw... Yeah 4G does use more power, but even with it on I get home at the end of the day and still have 60+% of battery...

Forcing/Locking people into the Apple Walled Garden is the reason I've never owned an i-Devlce... Technology changes too fast to lock myself into anything, so thats why I stick to subscription based purchases like Spotify for music so I can legally listen to music for a low monthly fee, with no need to make any permanent purchases from places like iTunes which I'd lose access to as soon as I move to a different platform...
