Just had an hour long meeting to discuss what we're going to talk about during a 30 minute meeting later this evening... *sigh*

thats pretty much my view of management. its just one big hand-ball to the next person at the next meeting.

anyone around clayton/mordy area tomorrow afternoon/evening feel like helping me load the pulsar onto trailer?

dont think I could do it by myself, dont think it has a winch on it either.

...and the missurs wont be very helpful. she struggles to even guide people when theyre reversing.

It was a pre-meeting before a conference call tonight with our Europe office, I was getting everyone here on the same page so we can go in as a team and yell at them for being dumbsheits, in a consistent manner.

I'll driving through clayton on my way home at about 5:30-5:45 tomorrow night if you need a hand.

awesome, thanks. theres a chance my dad might make it, so ill let you know if i do need help.

since when did vicroads charge money to check demerit points?

it was only like a year or two ago you could just ring up and it was read by the automated system, now you speak to someone and you have to pay for a report. utter bs.

I'm pretty sure that there's always been a paid report thing that you can get sent to you... But I've always just called them up, and they've told me over the phone what's up... then a few days later I receive the report in the mail anyway...

Just speak to a Vicroads team member, avoid their automated system that'll try to money grab you for basic information...

but the automated system doesnt grab money...you just enter in your licence details and it spits out the points...

I just called and it went straight to a real person... "have your licence number and credit card ready"

Say "I'm not paying for anything... I just paid $1600 to register two cars for a year. I'm not paying another fee for you to look up some details on a computer"

well hes watched me do it a couple of items so im sure he does.......I doubt he could be f**ked doing it himself though...

why whats the problem?

My boot lid has, what looks to be a paint / clear coat blemish for bird shit.

I cleaned the shit off but I have a feeling it ate through / blemished the clear coat.

if you have some cutting compound, put it on a small rag or maybe like a chux cloth or something slightly abrasive and buff it by hand,,,should get the stain out..but will leave some swirly marks in that area...which yeah ,would then require a buff..

if it has actually lifted or bubbled the clearcoat...its too late and you're stuck with it

seeing as Birds gets me to polish his car...I'm guessing no....lol

I do, it's just cheaper and less effort to pay you lol

Case in point my motorbike

But do go to Artz...he is faster and certainly cheaper...I charge nude model rates...

nah my rates are gone up...then again so has the quality of my work so its only fitting...

did you dot that by hand, or bought a machine...?

By hand. Would need a Dremel and tiny pads to detail a bike / pull the fairings off it. It's just a glaze, not a proper polishing compound.

    • Yeah most people that have heard it said it was fine but it's always had me slightly worried. Oil pressure I can't remember off the top of my head but it has plenty, I run 10w60 You're probably right mate, best get ordering some shims! Guessing Nissan is the best place for them?
    • Just wanna preface this and point out I'm a mechanical fitter by trade but have had very little rebuild/machining experience, but I am keen to learn, hence this project. Bit of a write up here so bear with me, just want to make sure I do this right  I've got an rb30e currently pulled down. Planning on putting a 25 head on it and running it in my s14.  Not chasing huge power so I'm just going to try get away with factory bottom end for now.  Started measuring the crank the other day, realised my budget daytona micrometer set wasn't up to the task (surprise, I know). They only measure to 0.01mm but the Nissan specs are to 0.001mm. Anyway, I started measuring anyway and came away with the mains being inline with the oem spec, as well as the big ends, except for no. 5. I consistently got a measurement of a hair over 49.96mm, where all the others were pretty spot on 49.97mm. The lower spec for grade no.1 is 49.961mm. I'm getting access to some better gear my next days off to double check everything, but in the case that the big end is right on that bottom spec, is it pretty much just a case of straight to the machine shop for machining and oversized bearings? I understand I need to measure the tunnel as well to work out my oil clearance, but it's the different grade bearings in the manual that are confusing me. What is generally the process when one journal would still technically be in spec, but in a different grade?  Thanks for coming to my Ted talk
    • You need to visit Ipswich. Plenty of clapped out R32 and R33s running around here as daily drivers. And when I say clapped out, they're how you'd look at a VN, when it's the year 2010...
    • So I checked this out in the weekend.. and look at this. I remember watching the videos. Finally got to see it in person! BRB. Tissues. Got tonnes of other pics and videos too.      IMG_0171.mov IMG_0113.mov
