"Police say it's nothing to do with them"... nek minit ram raid on a shop and doing a runner from petrol... Hmmm, probably should have looked into that tip earlier, back when noone was hurt and you had a target that can be used to dish out some big fines onto...

Plates look real, reflectivity etc... The guy didn't mentioned if he still has plates on his own car, or if they've been stolen off his car. std plates, so I'd just report as stolen 2 weeks ago, get new ones and not worry about it anymore...

Yeah fb thread continued to say that they were copies of his own plates which he still has.

Best would be to say they have been stolen and get a new set.

However very easy to get away with this for a long time until fines trickle through

So you just say you don't have your licence on you right now, but you are xxxxx of xxxxx street... They'll look it up on the computer and confirm that's who owns the car (you are driving it afterall) and unless you were doing something arrest-worthy, the fines will be issued to the owner.

What if you just say you are driving friends car? Easy enough to get name from Facebook photos of the car.

Only way you could get busted is if the cop checked the vin & rego number match.
