Did not die... I earthed the casing properly and they wired up easily enough...

1 x 500w halogen which gets hot as all hell and burns through a globe every few months

1 x 30w LED.... I will be installing 5 of them around the roof of the garage (you can see 1/3 of the garage space in this pic), the driver and the globe area don't even get warm after being on for an hour, so thats good enough for me Still waiting on a reply from the ebay seller after I called him out on his bullshit CE stamps...
