Labors was way more juicy. For extra lols they brought back the guy they axed in the first place

Abbott might not be ideal but the public need to wake up to the need for budget cuts or we gonna end up like Greece. Heck Id take a labor gov provided they take some action to reverse the debt trend - but we know that'll never happen they are like women - spenders

Something something Turnbull likely.. something something fighter jets. Who's asleep?

This is the problem with younger generations they don't actually see the importance of who and how the country is run..

I blame the education system.

^^ wasn't pickin on ya man just a generic statement and it's sadly quite accurate young people have no idea about politics God half of them think when the government pays its like its the governments own money as if it's a income generating business not the people's money

If Turnbull gets back in it's practically the same scenario... remember he WAS pushed out by Abbot. Albeit in opposition but it's errily similar.

What really f**ks me off is that at half a mill a year we will most likely be paying for 4 pm's that either weren't voted in or were ditched. That's $2m a year for life for a bunch of flogs that couldn't lead their way out of a wet paper bag.

Also you do realise that the whole budget surplus thing is not actually as important as it is made out to be by the LNP right? It's mostly just their current election strategy. Sure it's preferable but all it really means is our projected spend is less than our projected income. Even surplus budgets when actioned can still leave the country in debt and often do not actually result in cessation of borrowing, (especially when we buy EXTRA shiny fighter jets)

What really matters is that we see infrastructure projects implemented, economic growth driven and those that need it helped while working towards a balanced budget in the future (when the economy is better positioned.)

There is NO need to have it sorted by 2018, other than for the purposes of re-election.

What we need is a very centre right government. Unfortunately that is just not an option at ptesent.

so went to refuel car on freeway.

fire brigrade blocking road.

seems some tourists in their rental van put diesel in instead of petrol, so on exit to station at freeway,

just out and think lets drain the tank that will fix it, 100 Litres of diesel all over the road...

van still stranded on on-ramp to freeway as well.

The jets thing is a lefty go to option to pick on libs the fact is they were allocated for like a decade ago.. And national security isn't a bad idea imo.

you can't deny we are living in the age of entitlement and welfare and its completely unsustainable in its present state and set to only worsen.

budget may not need fixing in the next two years but action needs taking now not when we are further down the drain with no way out

The jets were budgeted for years ago and both parties were committed... but then we went and ordered 58 more.... it's a LOT of money that could have been better appropriated.

Yes it's an age of entitlement, no one can doubt that, but we need to have welfare, it's simply not avoidable

I agree we need to look into fixing the budget, but the approach has been deplorable and has also all but guaranteed a Labor government will return very shortly.

.

Australia is doomed anyways.

Iron ore has dropped to $60/tonne from $180/tonne highs

Once a $30billion revenue stream for Australia has been wiped.

Buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

The policy's to fix the budget have t been that bad.. Students should pay interest on hecs loans the loop holes and outstanding balance is ridiculous

Paying $7 to see a doctor? No problem with that either

Despite what labor and the greens want us to believe there simply isn't enough rich people / corporations to slug more taxes on to cover the bill. Middle & low income will always feel the pinch as they are the most dependent and largest tax base and as much as they whinge figures showed after rebates / deductions they were taking out more than they put in...

ok this is getting out of control..

think we should put him down for his own good:

snapped the lower control arm mount off the subframe, am I better off going gtr subby or having the standard one reinforced?

    • I'd say closer to OG GTX3582R, just smaller trim - so 59mm inducer/82mm exducer as opposed to 62/82 for the first gen GTX3582R. Yeah EFRs were boss, the EFR8474 is still an absolute beast and it perplexes me that people still go to things like Turbosmart/Garrett etc when the results people are getting with those are pretty unremarkable compared to what you could get with a turbo available well before those options came out.  DriftSquid (I think) "upgraded" from an EFR9174 to a Turbosmart turbo and promised a comparison video - and kinda shuffled awkwardly and did a bit of diversion from the fact that they didn't get any improvement going to the currently massively hyped brand of turbo from a turbo that was a bit of a frankenstein that had been well superceded in it's own range before the Turbosmart unit he put on there even came out. I suspect the EFR would outperform most Xonas for what a lot of less-insane RB owners would go for, in the 400-600kw range but the Xonas are looking hard to beat up to maybe in the mid 700kw range at this stage- basically where EFRs don't really reach, and before the Precision turbos take over.  What the Xonas do well in the "EFR range" is be easier to package etc, and work very well if a divided housing doesn't suit your application.
    • Are you sure the gasket is blown? What are the issues? Thermocure is the only flush I've seen do anything with rust, very impressed with that, Prestone, rust will be by the pool having a cigarette.
    • And since the flush you have a blown head gasket? Have you lifted the head off yet?
