Clearly you only read the leftist news since you missed it -

" The exclusive modelling for News Corp Australia by the National Centre for Social and Economic Modelling at the University of Canberra reveals 48 per cent of Australia’s 12.2 million “income units” pay no net tax. Any tax they do contribute is more than offset by the welfare — pensions, family tax benefits or childcare rebates — they receive."

"On average, Australian families will pay $12,935 in income tax this year, but receive $9,515 in benefits — leaving a net yearly contribution to the public purse of just $3424."

Need to get this thing called a family to reduce my taxes

Lol

I wouldn't say missing an article published on news.com.au constitutes only reading leftist news. If say it's more avoiding the lowest common denominator.

That paper is sensationalist trash and nothing more.

Those figures include pensioners and self funded retirees , which make up a fair percentage of the 48%.

Considering people earning the median wage are not really elligible for FTB and the median wage is, well... median, I simply can not see how they came to the 48% figure without a serious agenda in play.

You read the age that is without doubt the biggest source of drivel on the planet! Leftist propaganda at its worst I mean waleed ali? Waleed f**ken ali writes for them! Seriously woeful. Australian journalism overall is uninspired and limp.

So I was out by 3% regardless 48% are sucking on the teet of the government, it states pensioners and the young make up 3 million or so which still leaves a unsustainable amount taking more than they contribute you really need to wake up and smell the roses the financial position is horrible and only going to deteriorate quickly and drastically without change.

Lol he's like that everyweekend.

Also Dave, the Gloria needs a detail before Sunday. You still doing that stuff? I'll give you moneyz. Lemme know

You have a Gloria?

Sure man come around Saturday if I have time, I will put you to work on my Toyota. :P

I hate flat packs, shit that isn't drilled properly, misalligned holes, a missing piece or useless instructions with drawings of another product

Got ex a giant map of the world for a present...it was about 2.5 metres long and as subtle as I

Someone asked me today why I run in barefeet and no shirt?!

Fair questions. Most people think I'm crazy and I get weird looks when I run the Cairns Esplanade with barefeet!

It got me thinking about my health and fitness philosophy.... I promote a health and fitness plan based on evolution.

Eat, train and live how our bodies were designed to over approx. 2 million years of evolution.

That is the easy part. Its common knowledge that we only ate what was available in our environment.

Our bodies endured a harsh environment so it thrives on acute stress such as exercise, we didn't have shoes especially ones that "support" our arch, and we are very social animals so human contact is a necessity.

Our modern life requires us to do so many things that we were not designed for. That's it what requires the most attention and effort and deep down I know that will be my life's work.

How can you function with Cavemen genetics in the modern world?!

Even better question.

Take my picture for example. I love running like this because I am doing so many healthy things at once:

1. Exercise: Today I did intervals. one minute fast pace one minute slower. 30 mins in total. Benefits: Too long to list. Let’s just say Anti-ageing hormone release, Afterburn (intervals help you to burn fat for 24-48 hours after your session!!!), fitness increased (Intervals put you In the red zone for short periods so you have to get fitter to adapt to the work load).

2. Vitamin D from the Sun. Benefits: Too long to list!!! Let just say there is over 1000 processes in the body that use vitamin D. Including immunity, feel good hormone production and the list goes on. It’s scary to think that the majority of people in Australia are vitamin D deficient. I get 30 minutes of full sun per day as often as possible. Very healthy and the cost... FREE!!!

3. Barefoot running: Benefits: Too long to list!!!! We evolved without shoes on and we have only been wearing supported shoes since the 1970's and since then knee and hip injuries have been getting worse and worse.

Do you really think evolution could get our foot structure wrong. Leonardo da Vinci described the foot as nature’s most perfect design, due to the way the foot would collapse and spring giving us a free elastic band type energy. His IQ is predicted to be around 220!!

Basically a whole lot of things go wrong when you try and support the foot. Take it from me, when I changed from full support with $600 orthotics to barefoot shoes I never looked back. Running became enjoyable again, rather than stressful with me wondering if my knee was going to blow up again!

(Note: Don't just whip you shoes off to go for a barefoot run. You need to ween yourself off your shoes. Imagine it like a cast on your broken arm. The cast stops your arm from moving as normal and the muscles and connective tissues weaken and need to be rehabilitated. Wearing supported shoes has the same effect.)

You can access my program designed to balance the foot structure and give you back your natural ability to run and move pain free: Its a simple plan to transition you to BARE FOOT SHOES and into muscle balance.

So you can see why I love to run like this. There is so much going on but from face value I'm just some weird guy who runs down the nard with no shirt on!!

That brings me back to my philosophy not only for health and fitness but for life.

"What is the best, most effective and most efficient way to respect our evolution, yet still function in the modern world"

That's it. If I can discover, experiment, and share the best ways to do this with as many people as possible I will be a happy man.

In my book I’m currently working called Free Range Family, I’m going to share what I have discovered and experimented on myself and clients (in that order!!) what works the best and what is actually adaptable to a very busy lifestyle. I think I am qualified to share this because I have had to adapt to our busy family life with 2 boys, started a successful business, and not gone crazy trying to make it all work!

Who wants to join in on the ride??
