The world will slowly but surely gravitate towards the dystopian future depicted in Equilibrium...tis only a matter of time and the reason we won't be scared of it is because it'll be such a slow, drawn out process.

The scary thing is that that movie is less a vision of a potential future and more an analogy of what we already do as a society - popping pills to keep emotions in check, censoring art and opinion, restricting choice and seeking out and destroying anything that threatens this.

Am curious if multinational organisation would sue poverty stricken child with Facebook provided internet access out of principle

FB armchair / feel good activists en masse

"The IP addresses identified belonged to those who “seeded” the movie"

If you seed shit you deserve everything you get

Define seed though....

Is that for while you are downloading or only if you don't stop it afterwards?

Seeding vs Leeching is only a term to distinguish between connected and sharing pieces, and connected to the tracker with 100% of the pieces...

You're guilty the moment you connect to the tracker, because you can't connect without SOME of the file (included in the initial .torrent file)

That's what i mean. I could download a movie and stop my client/delete the file the second it is finished and they could still say i seeded it...

Or do they look into if further and focus on people who seed long term?

But aren't you seeding while you're downloading? Hence the uploads. Or is that defined as a different term?

It may, or may not though.

Seeders, in general would have 100% of the file, and are sharing 100% of the file, and you could arguably identify and say that you're illegally providing/distributing the file for others, once you have 100% of an item.

It makes it a bit easier to go after seeders, legally, due to that.

Yeah, but you are always seeding when you have 100% of a file... even if it's just for 1 second before you stop it.

my point is will they go after THOSE people...

    • Yeah the issue here is that we have a lot of topics, unless we matched on the exact word & phrase we'd get a million topics and the one you want will not likely be in the top 20 or so.
    • Yeah great idea, I have already added R32 Wiring Diagram but we can add as many as we want. 100% ! This has been something I've wanted to do for a while. I thought we could have a way for people to 'suggest' a link be added to the library when they come across something good.  We could kick this along by allowing members (maybe a subset) to tag threads they find to allow us to more easily find/locate/use good content, ie a tag 'for-library' which can then be added to the library and maybe have the tags reviewed and updated to better match the content. This would make it easier then to find the content when not using the library. We can also create pages that have lists of content with specific tags. That would allow us to add a tag and then have it automatically added to a page. We could have a page just for the 'for-library' content that we could then moderate and put wherever.  This excites me, the lack of structure with the amount of content is a little overwhelming.
    • Of course you can. That was a waste. Straight down one oil drain gallery and out the sump hole. Could at least have run the engine a little (obviously with at least minimum oil level on the stick).
    • Oh really? Maybe I'm being silly. I'll get some more shots. I had it higher but found that it went too high after a drive, I never knew this but exhausts can move around a bit when hot (makes sense, just never knew) and when it was higher it would make nice cooking plastic smells. That said, I could put some heat tape on a'la 90's R33 exhausts     Ha, I've spent a lot of my life in castle hill waiting for cars to be done. I think I'd prefer something closer but thanks D.
    • @Duncan Yes, changed filter every time. I don't have the service manual for the car yet (Car was imported and they removed everything when importing). I've been using the oil change threads in the forum as reference.   @Milkmun The second oil change was after ~4 months after the first months and I wasn't sure about reusing engine oil that was opened. The third oil change happened within 3 weeks of the second oil change and I used the previous leftover oil to just "clean up" the system. (Poured it through while the sump plug was open")
