you had me up until that bit.

if people want a fast 2-door sports car you have to make some sacrifices. and street friendliness is one of them. lol'd at R35 owners bitching about the average ride quality when stuck in traffic. it aint not soccer mum car with blind spots the size of a water buffalo.

Should have just bought a BNR32.

so he was in a small country town...drive a R32 and he would have no business.

your "demo" car always had to be a ford or holden.

he built up a honda city turbo for the wife that he would go out and wreck the locals in their V8's tho.,

That really was an unbearable gear change though; it sounded and felt like it was snapping the gearbox in half and surely couldn't have been good for the diff - maybe why so many of those diffs carked it

I know what you mean with compromise, but I prolly wouldn't have used that gear change setting on the track lol

From memory it was close to F1 gear shift time or something

So roommate has come back last night and said he's not happy with the girlfriend staying only 3 nights a week and wants me to think about it again (I'm guessing he wants to compromise to the middle of 4 nights a week) I said mate if shes here 4 nights a week that's over 50% may as well move all her gear in here and contribute.

Then apparently her contribution was cooking dinner for me a couple of times early on,cleaning the kitchen stove etc. I'm like wtf? ofcourse you gonna clean the kitchen after your the one that makes the mess in the first place.. I said why not visit her a bit at her mums? But apparently there's bad vibes there because a month or so ago her stepdad passed away.. (think its more because how close my place is to her workplace) kind of awkward now, because he's one of my good mates, not sure what to do but I didn't think I was being unreasonable?

Classic case of flatmates turning mates against each other

Also classic case of all rules not being discussed before moving in

Also classic case of you needing to tell him bad luck you had an agreement and his relationship problems and his gf's family problems aren't your problem

Yeah well wasn't anything to discuss before moving in - he didn't have a gf

That's it, his argument is I don't mind if mine comes over just as often I'm like yeh nah not gonna work, the house is a unit not a 5 bedroom house lol.

Probably just need to tell him bluntly tonight those are the rules don't like it move out, I mean there's other ways around it.. make a phone call, go visit etc. I don't think weekends and one work night is unreasonable.

    • But I think you missed mine.. there is also nothing about the 98 spec that supports your claim..  according to the fuel standards, it can be identical to 95, just very slightly higher octane number. But the ulp vs pulp fuel regulations go show 95 (or 98), is not just 91 with some additives. any claim of ‘refined by the better refineries’ or ‘higher quality fuel’ is just hearsay.  I have never seen anything to back up such claims other than ‘my mate used to work for a fuel station’, or ‘drove a fuel delivery truck’, or ‘my mechanic says’.. the actual energy densities do slightly vary between the 3 grades of fuel, but the difference is very minor. That said, I am very happy to be proven wrong if anyone has some hard evidence..
    • Hey guys I’m chasing a Rb20det complete or bare block need a good running engine as mine has low comp
    • You're making my point for me. 95 is not "premium". It is a "slightly higher octane" version of the basic 91 product. The premium product that they want people to buy (for all the venal corporate reasons of making more profit, and all the possibly specious reasons of it being a "better" fuel with nicer additive packages) is the 98 octane stuff. 95 is the classic middle child. No-one wants it. No-one cares about it. It is just there, occupying a space in the product hierarchy.
    • 98 and 95 have to meet the same national fuel standards beside the actual RON.  91 has lower standards (which are quite poor really), so 95 is certainly not 91 with some octane booster. It would be an easier argument to claim 98 is just 95 with some octane boosters. Also RON doesn't specify 'quality' in any sense, only the octane number.  Anything different retailers decide or not decide to add to their 95 or 98 is arbitrary and not defined by the RON figure.
