Oh yeh my bad. we were talking about affordability which makes 1x wage largely irrelevant when it's obvious they'd be unable to compete with 2x wage

That doesnt change the comparison at all... include 2 wages and instead of ~5 then / ~13 now it just becomes 2.5 then / 6.5 now

And i don't really understand your point about 2x wages... there are plenty of people that are bound to be single for life... take Mohsen for example

13 was from my example of my mum's house price as a multiple of 1x average wage

Applicable in the way I presented it, i.e solely a comparison of how the price is increasing exponentially.

No one is suggesting that a 600sq block in brighton is an average house price
