Fk that's so lame I'm all for getting knobs off the road but far out such persecution would be outrageous if applied to other socially accepted entertainment but nope nobody minds the fact you can't go for a drive legally!

Could I sell a 'item' on eBay and purchase with another account pay with credit card / PayPal then get that transferred to my normal savings account to avoid any cash advance fees with the credit card (1.75%)? Or am I over thinking things (basically a couple of grand on card to buy something from a private seller)

Yeah just checked 1.1% to 2.4% + $0.30 AUD to get payment with paypal, ah well 1.75% isn't that much I guess to do it the normal way :P Just really want a motorbike but trying to hold off until next month!

Yeah alot of innocent bystanders caught up. Everyone is just outside sitting out of their cars as there is nowhere to go and would be a a few hours. There was a bus full of passengers too!

toby do this to yours brah

Nah brah

Circuit racing!

Any suggestions for car alarms? I wanna spend under $200 for the alarm itself, was thinking along the lines of Mongoose M60G or M20S for something a little cheaper (already had M20S in the past and it was great). Any suggestions?

alarms - get something simple man

i paid a heap for viper 5701 and a tilt sensor, remote start and all this stuff - a few weeks ago in the city im under the bonnet with a box cutter cutting it out cos the f**king siren wont turn off, alarm goes off by itself randomly also..

thank god it has a lifetime warranty, so gonna get that shit sorted asap..

Yep I'm definitely thinking something simple, just needs a good install and an easy to use remote and I'll be happy.

I bought a mongoose M60, doesnt go off for no reason, inbuilt turbo timer, 30 sec to start car from unlocking, only issue is the beep is so loud... but that was $400 fitted.

I think I'm gonna go with the M20S, had it in my first car a few years ago and loved it, very simple and no annoying sounds, hopefully be able to get the autoelec across the road from work to install it... might get it a bit cheaper (yeah right..)

Better wait til next month then, sports bikes might be back on top :D

haha maybe, problem is if I got a sports bike I'd want full comp which is $$ and with the motard if I drop it at the island or something just pick it back up and it's sweet and won't have to fork out 4k for making a mistake on the track lol plus after gym I can just ride up over the grassy knoll and hop on the bike track :D

always fun trolling some of the sports bikes too with the gearing / weight a motard has :D but you're right sports bikes look the sex not really too fussed about outright speed got the car for that stuff too

    • Price seems pretty good to me. Also seems a hell of a lot cheaper then buying another vehicle that only ever gets used for towing.  I'm a long way from you mate, I'm a couple of hours out of Brizzy.

    • The sodium acetate, mixed with citric acid, doesn't actually buffer each other. Interestingly though, if you used Sodium Acetate, and acetic acid, THAT becomes a buffer solution. Additionally, a weak acid that can attack a metal, is still a weak acid that can attack a metal. If you don't neutralise it, and wash it off, it's going to be able to keep attacking. It works the same way when battery acid dries, get that stuff somewhere, and then it gets wet, and off it goes again breaking things down. There's a reason why people prefer a weak acid, and it's because they want TIME to be able to be on their side. IE, DIY guys are happy to leave some mild steel in vinegar for 24 hours to get mill scale off. However, if you want to do it chemically in industry, you grab the muriatic acid. If you want to do it quicker at home, go for the acetic acid if you don't want muriatic around. At the end of the day, look at the above thumbnail, as it proves what I said in the earlier post, you can clean that fuel tank up all you want with the solution, but the rust that has now been removed was once the metal of the fuel tank. So how thin in spots is your fuel tank getting? If the magazine on the left, is the actual same magazine as on the right, you'll notice it even introduces more holes... Well, rust removal in general actually does that. The fuel tank isn't very thick. So, I'll state again, look to replace the tank, replace the fuel hanger, and pump, work out how the rust and shit is making it past the fuel filter, and getting into the injectors. That is the real problem. If the fuel filter were doing its job, the injectors wouldn't be blocked.
    • Despite having minimal clothing because of the hot weather right now, I did have rubber gloves and safety glasses on just in-case for most of the time. Yes, I was scrubbing with my gloves on before, but brushing with a brush removes the remaining rust. To neutralize, I was thinking distilled water and baking soda, or do you think that would be overkill?
