I thought the Gen-F was suppose to look like this:

http://motoring.ninemsn.com.au/cars/news/8648110/hsv-confirms-new-gen-f-muscle

just read the caption under the pictures

"A 'MOTOR' computer-generated Gen-F prediction"

I reckon it looks better too ...

boy did we read hsv's mind or what!

$100k and in the GTS only.

430 at the fly, so what? 350 odd rwkw... that's pretty fkn good for a stock car... but still less than a tuned FPV 5.0

Lol exactly right, FPV massively underate the power figure

HSV GTS

Price: $95,000 plus on-roads (approx)

Engine: Supercharged 6.2-litre V8

Power: 430kW and 740Nm

0 to 100km/h: Less than 4.5 seconds

Ford Falcon GT

Price: $70,790

Engine: Supercharged 5.0-litre V8

Power: 335kW and 570Nm

0 to 100km/h: 4.5 seconds

so you got the same speed from factory, now chuck 30k into the falcon?

Nah but srs tune a 5.0 and what you got 450+ kw at the engine anyway, and you can buy a new GS for half the price. Hell give me a GS and a F6 for 100k kthx lol

I rate the new commo the hsv isn't that great but the Calais the showed off looked the goods to me and finally has an interior it should

And dat power off the showroom floor appeals to people like me who don't have time or know how to tune skylines an shit

Can't compare Gts to gt falcon maybe a club sport but gts would compare more to a gte which is also the better part of 100k as the gts is more loaded with options and luxury the Gt falcon I sat in rivaled the interior of a festiva.

Michael you wouldn't know the difference between the R33 and R34 complete engine gasket kit is would you?

I've ordered a complete gasket kit for my Neo engine via High Octane. they supplied a normal 25det kit ensuring me it would be a fit.

Already know the plenum gasket is different

Unsure exactly what the differences are as I can't read the Japanese and it's not copiable text so can't translate without individually going through and grabbing all the jap characters which takes forever but it looks like there's quite a few differences.

There's only 18 individual parts to the 33 kit and 29 pieces to the 34 one. Looks like with the 34 the Valve stem seals are different for intake & exhaust whereas they're all the same for the 33.

The 33 kit also comes in 4 different revisions depending on Build date but the 34 one covers all Neos.

Part # for the 34 kit is 10101-AA525

Anyway too late now, can't wait a month for another order, already got a complete r33 engine gasket kit.

Will make do with what I have lol

rear end looks like an aurion

I reckon it looks better too ...

Yeah, cause the artist impression (Red Car) looks so cheap and tacky...

WTF?!

HSV keep enlarging the cubic inches but still can only run the same times as cars with less...

Argh, just went through all the sections and worked out what the differences are..

Lol my head hurts from looking at that

Thanks for that Michael!

Dat N/A ?

lol did a quick edit

Lol I had it neatly formatted but when I copied from notepad to Sau it messed it all up :(

Just quickly tried to put an order on the 10101-AA525 kit.

For a $100 can't go wrong. Everywhere else is $400+.

Amayama's last day today so will see if it goes through

boy did we read hsv's mind or what!

Yep, I called the use of the LS9 :D

Was the obvious choice without building their own engine...

Which is good news, because the same engine appearing in the ZR1 Corvette has 476kw and 819nm (!!!) of torque. HSV pulling their usual detuning tricks methinks...

I reckon that acceleration time will be conservative...unless they have it hooked up to a shitty transmission...cause even 2 tonne luxo barges with 400kw+ are down to 4 seconds for 0-100. In any case, there is no replacement for displacement, so if you got the cash to burn it'll be a better starting point for tuning than the GTE.

inb4 Leigh loses to one on the street :P
