the general attitute of the locals.

DUe to working there for significant periods of time I got to know some.

they sit around with beers on a Friday discussing who F%$ded over the tourist the most as a joke.

only place I have been robbed

and then the hygiene, middle of town, watched lady carry baby into the street, hold it above the gutter so it could "go potty" then bring it back inside.

and the gourmet cooking:

So yes can live cheap, but a life I don;t want, where for less money I could be in Laos that was much better, or a little more gets you thailand.

my objective is to never go back.

Fair enough. We met a couple of local girls there and, in stark contrast, they took us around showing us their favourite food places and hangouts. We expected that in return we'd pay for their stuff, but they actually shouted us a couple of times. Wonderful girls.

Many locals are out to screw tourists, but it's all they know living in poverty and you'll find it anywhere in south east Asia in different forms...I don't really like it either, but I find it easy to ignore and enjoy bargaining them to bottom price. When they stop smiling you know you're there. In the end, as long as I'm paying what it's worth to me, I don't care if someone rips me off a bit. I actually saw one of the locals attack another (physically) for trying to rip off one of my travel companions, so some are against it too. Being robbed would suck though.

Loved the street food...it's all I ate and with my weak immune system I still didn't get sick.

The only real bad experience that stuck with me was a floating convenience store giving me less change than she was supposed to...then pushing her boat away from ours with an oar and floating away...so basically daylight robbery of 50 cents. It's the principle!

I would like to visit Laos, south Vietnam and Cambodia next time.

Most people have to get a little bit of snip snip happening to their reo's to make coolers fit... so choose carefully

lol @ a little

I remember taking 5-6 attempts at shaving off material to make it fit. My reo is now cosmetic. I don't believe the fkers who say they fit a fmic without chopping into something!

If all goes to plan, im getting my coilovers next week.

Has anyone got any negative feedback about shockworks ?

Used them in my old 33r before I sold them, had them adjusted to my liking, pretty good coil overs, they're surprisingly live able around town and highways, a mate managed to fall asleep in Hume on skinny 33 gtr seats, so I'd say it's pretty good. Never done track work with them though, the bloke I sold the R did few.

I love mine, they've really put a lot of hard work into tweaking them so the rates are perfect for each type of car and the type of performance you want. Mine are smoother than the old bilstein shocks and springs I used to have in it.

Give Aaron at Import Monster a call, he'll sort you out :) and tell him I sent you, I might get a wristy out of it

    • The only requirements/issue with one piece tail shafts is tail shaft RPM, the length of it, the diameter of it,  the pinion angle, and material used Daily driving at 110 kph it top gear with a one piece will probably never see any harmonic issues at ???? tail shaft RPM, but, at 200kph you might see some harmonic issues if your tail shaft isn't spec'd right I looked into this alot when I was looking at a new tail shaft for my VX SS after it constantly flogged out centre bearings and getting vibration over 160kph, in saying this my "pinion" angle from the gearbox to the centre bearing was the issue, slightly to much angle caused the centre bearing to flog out from harmonic vibration at high tail shaft RPM, but for me the issue was the 12mm lower engine mounts, after getting the angle of the dangle from the transmission to the centre bearing lined up correctly, and to within spec (OEM height poly mounts), the car is happy at 200 kph (125mph at the drags) now even with the OEM spec centre bearing and rebuilt OEM 2 piece tail shaft What's your tail shaft specs?
    • One of the issues Adam mentioned was the tail shaft center bearing being flogged out, I took the shaft down to be rebuilt after a conversation with the owner of the shop it was decided a whole new shaft was the best way to go.    so after taking measurements and waiting a week my new shaft was ready to pick up   new and old shafts next to each other, yes the new one piece shaft and was worried about vibration, after driving the car turns out that there is nothing to worry about
