Will be increasing boost, don't think stock 8 will be able to hold. 8MR bov was the other option but it's pretty similarly priced, so the TS should be good choice for me. Dual Port for options, but emo doesn't like atmo usually anyway iirc.
no car likes atmospheric BOV it's part of the reason cars don't have them from factory lol

I wouldn't recommend it...

When tuning you push the car hard to find its maximum, then you take out a little bit as a safety margin to accomodate for hot days, slightly different fuel, etc... If you tune on a crazy hot day then the maximum is going to be lower, and then you're never going to be sure just how much of a margin to take out... My last tune with Trent was fuarken hot, think it was a 40c day. His ventilation is pretty good, but it was sucking in the air from above his factory through the roof which was still pretty damn warm so the car was getting really hot and pinging off its tits.

If you can reschedule, I would... but who knows their schedule and when they can fit you in next.

Cheers man, sort of in line with my train of thought too. It isn't booked in firmly yet, so I think i'll leave it for the following week pending temp drop.

not sure about that, mine get faster laps when venting atm rather than reciric

you can feel the diffrenernce on lift off the revs drop much faster handy when braking.

That doesn't mean your car likes it, that just means you like what it does

the worst the car gets out of it is a little rich for a second.

and a few flames.

nothing I would classify as overly bad.

I run recirc on the street and vent on the track, it's tuned venting and seems to work.

Maybe on the track. I always found the surge annoying when you slowly decel.

yes well as said even just for convenience factor I ran it recirc on the street.

as when you lift off it does lose everything instantly, good for when I'm hitting brakes.

so decided too lazy to finish car for around the bay tomorrow rolling with comfy mazda3 style

Yeah very dry and sunny. Then the thunderstorms and cyclones come through.

Had to shut last week because of cyclone. Lost power for a couple hours.

    • Only needed to pull out the seats, center console and gear shifter surround, took a weekend and a fair few beers. You get to look forward to finding all sorts of weird shit under the seats and carpet, I pulled out a Chinese dudes passport from 2003, 220 yen and a condom wrapper 😆
    • Well, turns out not a lot happened from back then to now, between life again, and working on 3 separate other cars (only one of which was mine, and will now be departing the household soon).   So I decided with the whole "don't go outside, it's a cyclone!" Turning in to being not a whole lot, I ventured down to the garage, found a couple of water leaks in the shed (the main one I've already fixed), and then ended up "stuck" as it started pouring rain, and I didn't want to walk back inside in the pouring rain. This meant I ended up taking a look at the Skyline, and trying to work out what past Matt had been upto. I retraced a few things out from scratch, added the rest of the power feeds in that I needed for the indicators, and headlights. Double checked I'd wired a few things up correctly (and worked out how I wired a few things to begin with), updated my sparse notes. Added one of the ground points. Oh, and got really really dusty, as the car is quite dirty. Wrote up quickly what should be left for me to do with the wiring too. Adding the below photos more for my records than anything else. I need to make myself a proper book for the car that details everything, and how I've done it, but for now, this is my records... The third image is my most important one for me, and I need to draw it out into a proper schematic eventually. The last photo is my re-written list, I'd have put it on the white board, except I had to take the white board down to fix one of the water leaks.
    • Can try Maxima. Or random Infiniti models from the same era. Good luck with your hunt, let us know what you find!
