you can adjust from plumb back daily to fully FnF style or in between all with a switch in the cabin!!!!!

Far too expensive for what I'm willing to spend :P

i've got a ts kompact dual port... but you have to manually change between plumb back and atmo.

idk why i even bothered though, i'll probably just leave it plumb back 5eva

i've got the GFB response that similar you can plumb bakc or vent.

so plumb back for street, vent for track

Ended up getting Salsas - Chicken Fajita Burrito

In a bowl is the same thing, its just a deconstructed burrito... on a bit more lettuce

U.S mexican SHITS on Salsas.

I still like salsas cos its all we got, but yeah dem huge servings for like 7 fiddy sooo good

oh hai

new car is berry nice

hamish it has 2.3Lkit, 270deg cams, 1k injectors, clutch, flywheel, vipec and usual supporting mods with an evo 9 turbo on it

its tuned for 19psi and i havent driven it on 19psi yet, only 8psi and it flies / pulls awesome in every gear - made 240kw last dyno run

i'd imagine that the controller just tries to keep it at 8 and it just boosts to minimum actuator pressure.

give it a gutfull mate... at least 23-24 psi and you should see 260 odd,

then when you get bored go e85 lol

Hamish

new rules coming into place for the club rego

you need full RWC and no mods outside VSI-8, ie exact same as having normal rego now.

so if you doing it, get in quick b4 rules change.

Haha I reckon it's because of the mass flood of all imports becoming eligible for it.

this amayama site looks random as wtf is it ???

It's a business who sell OEM parts, the layout isn't all that great but prices are usually far cheaper than anywhere else. If you have the part number you punch it in the box and it'll tell you their prices. You can contact them directly to do a parts interpreting service for you as well but I tend to just use FAST to grab part numbers as it's quicker, easier and when you think about it the less time they spend looking for stuff for people the lower their overheads and the cheaper they will stay.

Indirectly, yeah. I'd say the big factor is the number of applications "clubs" (read: groups of mates) have made for club rego status/ability of recent. Can't say no if they qualify for them, but things would be out of control with self scrutinising clubs so they've clamped down and phased out self scrutiny altogether...except of course for models too old to be imports...very convenient indeed. Though I'd say this last bit has more to do with RWC places having no fking clue how to scrutinise some older vehicles.

    • From the pictures I have when doing the job the flywheel is the same diameter, I don't think they're playing weird tricks like putting weights at the outer diameter to increase flywheel inertia or anything like that. The OEM flywheel is definitely heavier, but it's not a huge difference. Quoted weight savings of the clutch is 2 kg so I can't imagine the flywheel being lighter than ~7 kg. Kind of regret not weighing it before the clutch went into the car but as far as driveability goes I have no complaints.
    • HKS trigger kit should be very easy to integrate with a Link. It's a 36-2 crank trigger. Hard part is finding the motivation to take off the timing belt and everything on the front of the engine to install it. You also need to cut out a hole in the oil pump housing so the sensor can read the trigger wheel. Changing out the cam sensor for a 24 tooth setup is probably good enough but as others have mentioned depending on what underlying assumptions are changed it becomes more of a problem. Reading the crank state off of the cam is an abstraction that works in the general case, but if you have an edge case it makes less and less sense. There is a GTX2860 gen 2 that can take a compact 5 bolt housing so it's direct bolt on but I'm not 100% sure of what's involved. Peak compressor efficiency drops off a bit on these turbos vs -5s, 77% vs 73% but you get way, way wider region of operation. The -5s have a really strange surge line in their compressor map that is all over the place. If you think the hot side on the -5s aren't open enough you can try the Tomei T550B turbos which a local tuner seems to be happy with:
