which airline?

Virgin

I rate over Qantas, especially the entertainment system...though Qantas had scrambled eggs and hash browns for breakfast on one flight, and that's a win.

Unrelated, boss's sister is a flight attendant with Qantas and apparently airline staff hate FIFOs #@Rekin cause they just keep asking for more beer and treating them like shit...

yeah each airline has pros and cons.

I used to fly virgin, but were never on time, 2 years straight of flyign every 2 weeks to syd and never arrive on time.

when I changed roles to a customer facing one and had to be on time moved to qantas they more keen to put the pedal down if running late.

most of my friends who are serious flyers paying for it themselves are on virgin however, (easier to get status if nothing else)

but if you flying Intl often, and can get status..qantas is def your friend.

Can be better than business class stuck in their individual seats :)

Though you would have needed some leg fold surely

Captain just said 40 on this A330 including business class bahahah

Only someone who hasn't been in business class would say that.

Burn

So employee is annoyed because they have to do their job and not talk shit with their mates? Not like the beer comes from their pocket.

Difference with frequent flyers is that there is no longer a guilt asking for something when in actual fact it's their job to serve.

Usually happens due to running lean at idle as I found out last night, then again today with Greg's car. ;)Cams would make it much more pronounced.

You got widebands fitted guys? Why the hell not?

Interesting.

That's actually the last piece of the puzzle I need to obtain before I put all my mods in.

If anything I'm probably a bit rich atm... flames pls.

matter of interest what the difference between say me and the stereotype FIFO?

You don't seem like a bogan Neanderthal so could be that

Obviously not allll FIFO are bad but it's likely an 80/20 scenario

Just cos it's someone's job to 'serve' does not make them a slave and common courtesy should always apply

Employee annoyed cos FIFO bogans hitting on attendants, talking rudely to em and treating them like slaves. There to serve, but a bit of manners goes a long way.

As Al said, not all FIFO gonna do it, but you can imagine some of the guys on flights and in business class or the lounges compared to the other clientele who frequent these spots.,,

Just bought a Wii U.

What is exams? What is money?

More like what is nintendo doing?

Dont mean to hate but the concept of that console is just so bizarre and makes no sense. You could throw all the IPs in the world at it and every game would feel like some iOS spin-off of the actual game. How you finding the tablet?

Nintendo survived as they are virtually unchallenged in their target market.

When sony and microsoft entered the gaming world, rather than try to be the 3rd option, Nintendo re-doubled their efforts with kids games and came up trumps.

No he didn't, you just got butthurt cos he was talkin smack about your scumbag bogan tradie brothers

lol @ your cheap shot, i'll bite anyways.

two points were made by Birds in his original response;

1. Serving a lot of beer - Its not coming out of their pockets & its part of their job requirement to serve, so how is that an issue? (Unless all they want to do is have an easy ride/shift)

2. Treating them rude - no disagrement here, not acceptable at any time.

    • Breather for it. If it's anything like the GTRs it should run up to the top of a bellhousing bolt.
    • What basics? With these OBD1 ECUs it's not like the ECU will give you any real clues, it's not really doing any sanity checking of sensors/sensor data. My experience is actually a lot of sensors tend to be the source of the issue first and foremost, and checking everything gives you a direction to investigate. MAF/O2/STFT/LTFT should all kind of make sense. You can try little tricks of the trade like tapping the MAFs to see if it triggers a stumble, things like that. But once you've done a compression test knowing whether you have an air leak or fuel delivery problem is kind of hard to narrow down without sensor data. And you don't really know if all your sensors are making sense unless you can interrogate the ECU directly about what it's seeing for sensor data.
    • Absolutely this. Yes, except not vacuum hose. Something oil/fuel safe is a better idea.
    • Like a Stagea, but not as cool! Hope you have enough garage space for this, or is something going to leave to make way for it?
    • The new project has arrived. I have wanted one of these for such a long time, well before that meathead Clarkson drove one in Africa. I really wanted an E34 but I have some medical issues that mean I *really* can't bump my head and the lack of airbags in the E34 made it just too big of a risk.  I don't know why I've always liked these older touring BMW's to be honest, but man I love this car. She's been pretty well maintained for her 243k's with what appears to be only a single oil leak at the oil filter housing gasket. It has a bunch of updates including later model bumper and headlights, 7 series billion-way adjustable seats and it came with a few spares and another set of wheels with legal tyres. I got a unregistered car permit from the RTA and drove it back from Canberra on Saturday.                   First cab off the rank is cleaning it up for blue slip. I dont know how picky they'll be but I figured I'd clean the headlights, fix the oil filter housing gasket, replace the speed sensors (throwing errors) and swap the OE wheels (the M Sport wheels have a big chunk out of one of the tyres.) I also need to replace all 6 gas struts - 2 for bonnet, 2 for hatch and 2 for hatch glass. The car tries to eat me whenever i open any of these. My plan for this car; Ultimately, this is a budget car. I can't afford to throw lots at it and its because I have another car that I got this, if something breaks its no big deal. I will just maintain and repair it really. But eventually I want to do a manual conversion. It actually looks pretty straight forward for E39's and the trickiest part will be sourcing the parts.  I do need to replace some suspension arms or bushes because wow, she's a floaty old girl. She's also fantastically slow. Like really, really slow. When pulling back out on to the freeway on Sat after a quick pull over I needed to wait until no cars were visible before going.  Oh, and the guy I bought it from had a gorgeous R31 GTS-X in the garage.
